Two incomparable golf courses elevate Hualālai to the status of one of the elite golf resorts in the world.

The Hualālai Golf Course is the fi rst Jack Nicklaus Signature design on Hawai‘i Island and is home to the prestigious PGA Champions Tour “Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualālai” event.

This course is available for play to Hualālai Club Members, their registered guests, registered rental guests and the guests of the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai. In the dramatic lava fields of Ka‘ūpūlehu, the Ke‘olu Course is open for Hualālai Club Premier Members and their guests.

Practice Facility

Spend a day at our 9-acre natural turf practice facility. Take advantage of the bunker/ chipping area, practice putting green and a full driving range. Amenities include complimentary usage of the latest generation of golf clubs, ProV1 practice balls, complimentary beverages, and all the essentials for practice.

Night Golf

Enjoy an entertaining and private evening on Hualālai’s Nicklaus Course. Our golf professionals will organize a glow-in-the-dark “scramble,” personalized for your group.

Night “Hale 500” Golf

Our golf professionals will create a nine hole par 3 course on the Hualālai practice facility at sunset. This course is only 500 yards long, with all the holes measuring less than 90 yards for a fun and entertaining evening for your group.

Individual Instruction (1 hour, 1 on 1)

Private golf lesson using state-of-the-art technology to analyze and improve any aspect of your game. Our certified instructors use Trackman technology, video analysis and TPI golf fitness performance to provide an informative and interactive lesson experience.

Mini Golf Schools(3 hours, 2-4 students)

Half-day school with the focus on one or multiple areas of the game that include full swing mechanics, short game, putting, mental game and course management. The more relaxed setting of the Mini Golf School is ideal for learning with friends and family while utilizing Trackman, video feedback and other technology the Hualālai Golf Hale has to offer.

`Ohana Golf Lesson (1-2 hours, 1-4 students)

Take an informative and interactive lesson with friends, family and/or your spouse. Focus on all aspects of your game or a specific area that needs attention. Our state-of-the-art technology will help facilitate understanding while our professional staff will simplify your technique.

On-Course Playing Lessons (9 holes, 1-4 students)

This unique experience allows the professional to watch the warm-up, understand tendencies and help the student(s) improve their ability to score. Oncourse instruction is easily the most effective way to maximize performance without the frustration of making significant changes to technique. Video analysis, stats collection and post-round analysis make this an incredibly productive experience.

Full Day Retreat (8:30 am - 4:00 pm, 1 on 1)

Spend the whole day covering every part of the game in a fun and holistic approach in our most comprehensive program. Including: full swing and short game instruction, video analysis of golf swing, TrackMan flight simulator analysis, club fitting evaluation, Golf fitness assessments by our TPI Certified coaches, on-course instruction, a universal gift bag, take home video at completion of session, and a sit down lunch with your instructor.

Registered Four Seasons guests and registered rental guests are welcome to dine at the The Residents’ Beach House after 5:30 p.m., if dining reservations are available the evening of request after 3:00 p.m. (During non-festive season.)

Golf Club Guidelines

Hualālai Golf Club Access Policy

Hualālai Golf Club is a private resort golf club. Golf course is limited to Hualālai Club Members, their registered guests, registered rental guests and the guests of the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai.

Dress Code

Proper golf attire must be worn by golfers and guests on the course and practice area, as well as in the clubhouse. Men, please wear slacks or proper length shorts, and shirts with sleeves. Tank tops, sweat pants, blue jeans, cut-offs and bathing suits are not appropriate attire.

Women, please wear dresses, skirts, slacks or golf shorts, and blouses or golf shirts. Halter tops and swim wear are not appropriate attire.

Our Facilities

Hualālai’s Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, one of two incomparable golf experiences at the resort, is Nicklaus’ fi rst Hawai‘i design. The par-72 layout weaves through the Big Island’s challenging lavascape, taking full advantage of spectacular ocean views and dramatic shoreline vistas. To make your experience unforgettable, the newly opened Hualālai Golf Hale has the latest on-site technology in the State. From TrackMan fl ight simulator, video analysis and our director of instruction, Our golf professionals will decrease your score and make significant changes in how you play the game of golf. The Hualālai Golf Club has been host to the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualālai since 1997 which features tournament champions for the past two seasons and senior major championship winners from the past five years.

The nine-acre driving range includes 3-par hole, a chipping and short game practice area, practice bunker and a putting green.

The Club Shop offers quality golf shoes, clubs and accessories to enhance your performance, as well as golf apparel that will bring style and comfort to your game. To remember your time at Hualālai’s course, we also offer Hualālai logo gifts to share with friends and family back home.

The Residents’ Beach House is nestled just beyond the Waiakauhi Pond and 18th tee box of the Hualālai Golf Course. With casual lānai dining and menu of simply prepared fresh fish, sandwiches, salads, pizzas and daily specials. This is a great venue to whale watch, take in an amazing sunset, or relax and sip on our famous Big Daddy Mai Tai. Resort guests are welcome to join the residents of Hualālai at lunch and pupus till 5:30 p.m.

Gratuities

Gratuities in appreciation for excellent service are welcome and are at your discretion. The general recommended amount is 20% of your fi nal invoice.

Junior’s are ages 13-17 years old. Children 12 years and under play for free when playing with a paying adult. Above fees are inclusive of shared golf cart, use of practice facility, beverage cart food & beverage, and clubhouse privileges.
