Tianmu Mountain is located in Lin`an District, Hanghzou. The site of this project is in a village close to the Tianmu Mountain Natural Scenic Area. This village belongs to Tianmu Mountain town and is the only way for tourists entering the western end of the Scenic Area.

Time: 04-07/2023 Location: Nanjing, Jiangsu, China Type: individual design work Project Description This project is located in the very core area of Nanjing, which is surrounded by a lot of historical spots. It is beside Qinhuai River, one of the most famous river in the long Chinese history. The site is near some old communities and a scenic spot. To make the site catch up with the city metabolism while meet the requirements of both residents and tourists will be the key aim for this project.

Design Description The scheme is focusing on the old urban public space regenation, and aiming to create a resilient space for both residents and tourists. On the west, small plaza and ficilities like benches and lawn deliver a multi-function area for people who live nearby. With the river introduced into the site, busy area on the east is separated from the quite communities. The project is balancing the relationship between the both sides.

Project Description

Site Analysis

This site is on the other side of the Yangtze River, far from the city center and next to the Nanjing Youth Olympic Park. After the Youth Olympic event, all the statiums and the surrounding spaces stay slient for a long time, just like disconnecting from the whole city. My key aim is to activate this site and bring it back to city. So it is important not only to remodel the public spaces, but also to satisfy all kinds of needs such as exercising, traning, children playing and so on.

Design Analysis

Design Description The scheme is trying to meet all the needs of all kinds of people to achieve the goal of nationwide fitness programs. The training center is aiming to provide low-cost indoor activity field to encourage more people into exercising. Besides, children playground provides a good space for the whole family living nearby. At the far end of the site, water comes into the site to deliver a dynamic space for people and other species.

Project Description Xixi wetland is an important water conservancy project and ecolotical project for Hangzhou. This project is aiming to use the method of patch analysis, to try to understand the importance of this unique wetland.

Water impact of land development Based on the planning perspective of national parks, we believe that urban development is not incompatible with the preservation of urban natural ecology. Through the construction of plant and animal living space, landscape environment, the mode of mutualism and symbiosis between the built environment and the human activity environment, the human activity space and the natural ecological space in the site are balanced, and the natural circulation of the urban ecosystem is promoted.
