PwC will be giving updates on Operational Resilience and the new 'critical' third parties regime, which aspects of Operational Resilience firms should be looking at next and how firms could approach making the ongoing management and monitoring of Operational Resilience a 'Business as Usual' activity. We will also be exploring the interplay between Operational Resilience and Consumer Duty. PIMFA Transaction Reporting Working Group meeting Monday 12 September | 14:00 16:00

The next meeting of the Operational Resilience Working Group will take place on Tuesday 20 September between 14:00 16:00. This is a Member only group.

With reference to the FCA's Consultation Paper 22/12: 'Improving equity secondary markets', over the past two weeks we have been gathering views on this CP from PIMFA members and associates and are building a picture which we will share with the regulator.

The next meeting of the Transaction Reporting Working Group (TRWG) will take place on Monday 12 September between 14:00 16:00. This is a member only group. You may have seen the list of transaction reporting issues raised by the working group, which we sent to the FCA's Markets Reporting Team last month. Representatives from the Markets Reporting Team have reviewed the list of issues and have offered to attend this meeting to provide clarification of existing guidance and Thisexpectations.willbeahybrid meeting; if you or your colleagues would like to join, either in person or via a video conference link, would you please email Heidi Bryant to confirm your attendance.

FCA Quarterly Consultation No 37 CP 22-17 (September 2022)

The FCA have published Quarterly Consultation No 37 CP 22 17. The proposed changes are outlined below for information: • changes to the Glossary of definitions, DEPP, COLL and EG to reflect amendments made to the individually recognised overseas collective investment • schemes regime under section 272 of FSMA, together with other minor changes to COLL to reflect the UK’s withdrawal from the EU • changes to reporting requirements in the Supervision manual • changes to PERG, CONC and MCOB to align with recent changes to the regulatory perimeter in respect of credit agreements entered into with high net worth borrowers • changes to clarify the definition of a ‘significant SYSC firm’ Members should note the FCA proposes to clarify the definition of a ‘significant SYSC firm’ as below. “We propose to make clear that only firms that would have been both significant IFPRU firms and IFPRU investment firms under the pre IFPR arrangements fall within the definition of a ’significant SYSC firm’ for the purpose of the Enhanced scope SM&CR regime" (see pages 16 17 Quarterly Consultation for more details).
