In this year’s run up to Halesworth in bloom the town is working hard to secure success at Halesworth in Bloom Here at Halesworth Library we are lucky enough to have some wonderful volunteers who have transformed the garden into a beautiful secret walled garden. Their diligence and consistent hard work has paid dividends into this welcoming, imaginative space buzzing with life. The borders are brimming with flowers and fruits; surrounded by butterflies and bees. We even have a resident hedgehog that comes to visit from time to time. Around the garden you’ll find incredible murals painted by Meraylah and Aiden, featuring a multitude of children’s book characters inspiring a children’s mini treasure hunt within the garden. The meticulous attentiveness and careful, nurturing persistence of our green fingered fairies has thrown our little patch into a glorious metamorphosis for all members of the community. Perfect to curl up in the sunshine and flick through a book and thoroughly recommended to all.

LOVE YOUR LIBRARY AS A ‘FRIEND’ You are invited to become a member of the ‘Friends of Halesworth County Library’ Our aim is to support the staff and help secure the future of our library and what it provides for the community. The Friends of Halesworth County Library have been working together with the community and Suffolk Libraries IPS to ensure the future of the Library. As part of the arrangements for its future, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) is being established to continue this work. Once we are a recognised organisation we will be relying on the support of the people of Halesworth and surrounding villages to become active as ‘Friends’. Joining the group will give you the opportunity to get involved in planning and supporting events and activities, sharing your expertise and having a say in the future development of Halesworth Library. We hope you will enjoy being partners in our quest to make sure that our library service is the best it can be. Membership is open to new and existing library members aged 16 and over, this lasts for 3 years and can be renewed. Whilst there is a minimum fee of £1 we welcome donations at any time.
