The very first HUDDIG was transported to USA in 2012. The proud owner is a company called RailWorks.
This need has arisen from the customers themselves, and Huddig is now working hard to communicate its service knowledge outside of Sweden.“Our end customers have to feel that they are a part of the Huddig family,” explains Hans Bergqvist. Our customers are involved in the development of the machine, and through our export service we aim to offer the same opportunities to all our customers.
Hans Bergqvist has 20 years of experience of HUDDIG and he is looking forward to meeting as many customers as possible. “Advice and service tips are appreciated by all HUDDIG customers. The machine has to work whatever the weather or conditions, and we can often point out adjustments that result in increased durability,” says Hans. “However, we also highlight various functions and adaptations that
the machine possesses, right from when it was manufactured in the factory.” If you would like to get in touch with Huddig’s export service, contact your nearest dealer for more information.

huddig city in luxembourg
HUDDIG City has incr and improved drivin The CEO of Enterprise Weber & CIE S.A.R.L in Luxembourg, tells us why the HUDDIG makes their drivers feel like Mr. Spock on the Starship Enterprise. Weber & CIE have been working with heavy construction, communal works and concrete factory projects for private, commercial and public companies in Luxembourg, for 80 years. They have 60 employees and 140 registered vehicles, so they know what is needed from a backhoe loader. The company bought their first HUDDIG in 2012 after one of their drivers mentioned it to them. He is now the dedicated driver of their HUDDIG City. Yves Weber says it was an easy decision to buy one, since they had been using Volvo backhoe loaders, “It’s very similar to the 6300 or EL70 backhoes. We loved those machines so we were very happy when we found HUDDIG, a machine that is quite better than the original. As we heard that Huddig AB were the constructor for the Volvo backhoes, our decision wasn’t far away.” Huddig AB is proud of its history, with roots in manufacturing partnerships with the likes of Valmet and Volvo. From 1974 to 1986 Huddig manufactured all of Volvo’s BM 616/614 backhoe loaders. With a solid base in producing and manufacturing, Huddig AB have the technical skills, design knowledge and a very experienced background in the industry. The other reason that made Weber & CIE decide to invest in a HUDDIG was due to its maneuverability and remarkable driving ergonomics, “the cockpit is a real blast! Once 6 l

The company use their yellow HUDDIG City for 30 to 40 hours a week and have a degree of utilization on average of 80 to 100%. They use it for tasks such as sweeping, roller and bucket, trench cutting and many more. They work in all kinds of environments from the city to the countryside to local farm tracks in an average European climate which is mostly wet and cloudy. They bought the HUDDIG through Econtech, an official HUDDIG City and HUDDIG Cable dealer in German speaking countries who, “provide a very friendly, professional and qualified service”, according to Mr Weber. Econtech also provide the main service and maintenance for the HUDDIG, when it is not being done in Weber & CIE’s own workshop. Econtech have trained Weber’s mechanics in Huddig technology and how to carry out service work. Yves Weber concludes by summing up the HUDDIG as a “Multipurpose machine, Nordic heavy duty backhoe loader that’s recommended for communal services, power line and rail companies.” www.huddig.com

huddig rail in united states
North America’s leader in transit systems buy their
Railworks got there first HUDDIG backhoe loader delivered to Florida already 2012.
RailWorks provide railway construction and railroad maintenance services for a range of customers throughout the U.S.A and Canada. In the past year RailWorks have worked for clients in forty eight US states and seven Canadian provinces. “Safety comes first” is the pledge RailWorks have made to their employees, customers and job site partners as they carry out projects in all kinds of climates and working conditions. RailWorks bought their HUDDIG for two reasons: safety features and efficiency, which increase production levels. Danny Brown says, “The HUDDIG has a safety feature preset level for the boom, which means that the onboard computer systems prevent it from lifting above a 10 l

certain level. We like the technology and hydraulic limiters that a HUDDIG has to offer.” In an everyday track rehabilitation situation, such as replacing concrete ties on a railway, the HUDDIG keeps workers safe with a kinematic envelope. It stops the machine from swinging out onto the line and keeps it safe when moving laterally and vertically on its suspension. The other reason that RailWorks became the first American owner of a HUDDIG was due to its maneuverability. “One of the main qualities is the ergonomics, which make it easy to get on and off the tracks. It gives us the ability to operate with peace of mind.”
The HUDDIG is equipped with railway wheels, which allows it to get on and off railway tracks at any location. The articulating center pivot provides unique all-terrain capability and maneuverability, making it perfect for working on the railways. Danny Brown says that the HUDDIG has met RailWorks needs well due to its precision hydraulics and reliability. “It’s a backhoe loader with a lot of safety features and great capabilities”.

huddig cable in finland
Versatile HUDDIG generates jobs Bröderna Nygård AB, in Oravais, Finland, is a family company in the true sense of the word. Twin brothers Klaus and Glenn (aged 43) have been working with cables and the raising of poles since the 1990s. If we add Klaus’ three sons and Glenn’s two, it can be said that a large proportion of the company’s tasks are managed by one or other member of the family. 12 l

ten lorry loads of stones and backfilled with macadam,” explains Klaus Nygård. The one meter deep excavation has first been founded with approximately 50–100 mm of gravel, upon which the electricity cable has been laid first.
Bröderna Nygård AB’s latest purchase is a HUDDIG 1260C, with serial number 5,000. The lift’s maximum working height is 20 metres. The machine has been used for around three months, mostly for cabling. In the winter, the lift is used more frequently, when the company switches to pole raising.Bröderna Nygård own a total of four Swedish backhoe loaders.
The brothers’ sons have all followed in their fathers’ footsteps and started working with machines at a relatively young age. Klaus’ sons are Rasmus aged 18, Jonathan 16 and Ted 13. Glenn’s sons are Matias aged 15 and David 14. Last spring, the brothers purchased their fifth HUDDIG machine, a HUDDIG 1260C with a 20 meter lift, which also happened to have serial number 5,000.
poles in the winter, jobs that suit our HUDDIG machines down to the ground. In addition to our family members, we employ a number of external operators. We can have a total of 15 machine operators working for us during the summer,” explains Klaus at the workplace in Terjärv.
The five thousandth HUDDIG machine now stands in the Nygård’s garage. The brothers have a total of four backhoe loaders, which are used extensively in various tasks.
“In this assignment we will be routing four different cables to a residential area in the form of an underground construction. We will be laying electricity cables, municipal street lighting cables, fiber and telephone cables in the same excavation.

”The business concept for the brothers’ company is turnkey contracts that are always completed with a high level of quality.” Then a new layer of gravel has been filled, followed by the remaining cables, each in their own layer. When backfilling the excavation, care is taken to ensure than no stones end up on the cables. This also prevents cable damage caused by stones being raised by the frost. “Of course it costs a little more to work like this, but in the long run you save money, as you avoid damage to the cables,” says Klaus. The business concept for the brothers’ company is turnkey contracts that are always completed with a high level of quality. All the electricity company needs to do is indicate the location where the cables are to be routed and Bröderna Nygård does everything else. In order to guarantee good service, their machinery is modern and versatile. www.huddig.com

huddig rail in norway
Thousands of sleep efficiently replaced with HUDDIG Jernbaneverket, the Norwegian agency for rail services, is currently replacing sleepers along the northern section of the Gjøvik Line, north of Oslo, Norway. During the course of next year, all old wooden sleepers on the line will have been replaced. ”This year we will be replacing 9,000 sleepers on the Jaren–Gjøvik section,” explains skilled worker Bjørn Egil Slåttum on the Gjøvik Line. As you can see, it is high time to replace these sleepers, as many of them are starting to fall into disrepair. They have really given their all, after fifty years in the track. The wooden sleepers that are now being replaced were laid on the Gjøvik Line in 1964. ”This is an important job in order to maintain a high level of safety and to ensure that we do not need to reduce the speed of the trains,” feels Bjørn. The plan is to replace the entire line with concrete sleepers. ”When everything is working as it should, this is an efficient way of replacing sleepers,” says Gustav Ekre. He is a machine operator on the specially built HUDDIG machine equipped with railway wheels, allowing it to drive on the track. The machine excavates the ballast, removes the old sleeper, lays a new one in place and then fills with ballast again. ”In a good shift, we can replace up to 400 sleepers in the time we have available,” says Gustav. After a few days, the track must be compacted and adjusted. Training and good

The rails on this part of the Gjøvik Line are also old, although they have not been replaced yet. The rails here weigh 40 kg, and we have received a special delivery from the sleeper factory outside of Hönefoss that is adapted to such rails.
