Vita Risk Solutions Manager of the Month

It’s Manager of the Month time again, courtesy of Vita risk Solutions.

Our Pitching In Isthmian Premier Manager of the Month award for October takes us on a trip along the M11, where we end up at Bishop’s Stortford, home of Blues boss Steve Smith. Steve’s side had a magnificent October, unbeaten not only in the Pitching In Isthmian League but in all competitions, as well as conceding only one goal along the way.

Many congratulations to Steve, and to all at the R&D Advisors UK Stadium.

AB1 Golden Gloves Award - October 2022

Golden Gloves Awards, sponsored by the fabulous folks at AB1 Goalkeeping. Once more we lead with the story of the Blues, visiting Bishop’s Stortford. The Blues are having a fine season, greatly helped by their parsimonious defence, and October saw them keep four clean sheets (five if we count cup competitions, which we don’t, but it still deserves a mention). Jack Giddens is their main man, so congrats go to Jack and all those who stand steadfastly in front of him.

Knory led a young side to a 2-1 Velocity Cup victory over Corinthian-Casuals.

KnOrY SCOreD In THe 8TH MInUTe to fire a young U’s side ahead last Tuesday evening.

Chinedu McKenzie netting the winner on 71 minutes after Troy Chiabi had levelled the score for Casuals on 67 minutes.

U23 and Academy graduates Harvey Mapstone, Oscar Barry, Josh Turner, Freddie Legg and Fin Chapman featured in the starting XI. With Armandas Briedis, Charlie Honey and Jamal Lubanga contributing from the bench.
