Welcome everyone to The Continental Pilot Field as we welcome the board, staff, management, coaches, players and supporters of Canvey Island.

Firstly I would like to just touch on the swell of support we are receiving towards Project Tilekiln. The understanding that a new ground and facilities really gives this club the opportunity to continue the amazing community outreach we’ve put in place the last three years and in my opinion increase it significantly makes the new ground not only great for Hastings United’s ambitions on the pitch but the town’s off the pitch.

Having worked with Daren and Peter for three years I can say that as CEO/Chairman even with the hard decisions they’ve always backed me to do what is best for this football club and I ask at

this time that you continue your support in allowing us to do it. Eastbourne isn’t somewhere any of us want to go, so we will keep working hard to make that possibility disappear.

A great point away from home for the lads Saturday at Bognor Regis Town, and another sign to show we are a top team in this division. Tonight I am expecting the atmosphere to be loud and proud and the lads will work hard to deliver three points in front of a bouncing Pilot Field.
