Cody Michael Frederick Telma Yadira Arredondo Things remembered most by senior Telma Arredondo are crazy talks, funny stories, awesome friends and quoting Mean Girls. Telma, born in Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico, is the daughter of Alejandra Arredondo and Jose Ferrandez. Some of her favorites include Heaven Is For Real, the songs It Will Rain, Take Care, A Thousand Years . . ., hip hop music, rap and anything that sounds good. Despicable Me, A Walk to Remember and Mean Girls are included in her movie favorites, and teachers Mrs. Mason, Ms. Wold and Mrs. Sosa. She admires her mom because she’s been through a lot and she stays strong. As for changes in high school she has nothing to regret or change. Her biggest impact was realizing when she became a senior things weren’t going to be the same anymore. Telma plans to go to Seward County Community College for basics then transferring to study to become a Psychologist/Sociologist.
Bus rides home from sporting events bring happy memories for Cody Michael Frederick. He also says if he could change anything about high school it would be his grades (Ha! Ha!). The biggest impact during high school for Cody was the passing of his friend Antonio Romo. Cody was born January 24, 1994 to Ted and Brenda Frederick in Joplin, Mo. The book Bleachers, song The Motto, R & B music, movie Glory Road, and Coach Rod are just a few of Cody’s favorites. He admires his parents because they “taught me everything”. Plans for his future include going to college and getting a job.
Ralynn Sittingdown Favorites for senior Ralynn Sittingdown include the Twilight Saga and Eragon Series, songs Sunday Bloody Sunday and With or Without You, rock and hard rock music, the movie Homeless to Harvard and Mrs. Beltz. Ralynn was born March 28, 1993 in Liberal to Ralph Ray Sittingdown. She admires her family most because they stuck by her when she needed them. Her plans for the future include attending Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Ok.

James Michael Black-Persinger James Black-Persinger is the son of Mike and Julie Persinger. He was born May 13, 1993 in Liberal. James most admires his Grandpa Jim because of all he went through and all he has taught him. James says that playing sports in high school impacted him most due to the leadership he was taught. Some of James’ favorite things include the song On My Way, the movie Real Steel, and Mrs. Crawford. James loves going to IHOP because the food is “so awesome!” In the future, James plans to attend and graduate from college and eventually have a house and family.

Jesus M. Renteria Jesus Renteria was born July 14, 1993 in Johnson to proud parents Luis and Ofelia Renteria. Jesse, as his classmates know him, likes the book Crank, enjoys listening to country and rap and his favorite song is Kick ‘n up Mud by The Lacs. He also enjoys watching Blood In Blood Out and Mr. Waters is his favorite teacher. Someday Jesse would like to visit Transylvania to see Dracula’s Castle. Jesse admires his father because be always pushes him to do more. Fond memories of high school are all the funny moments with friends. He regrets not being more involved in school. The loss of his cousin had the greatest impact on Jesse. Plans for the future include attending college and one day opening up a shop.
Alonso Aguilar Ana G. Cruz Known as Gabby to friends, Ana G. Cruz was born in Guanajuato, Mexico May 14, 1993 to Jose and Nancy Cruz. Memories for Ana include all the great people she met and all the friends she’s made. She admits she should have tried harder in her classes. Her favorites include the book The Lovely Bones, the song God of This City, Christian music, and the movies Dear John and Remember Me. Every teacher she had was special to her. Ana admires her mom and dad because they never give up when things get tough. She would like to visit Mexico to see her family for the first time. The greatest impact during her high school years was the talk she and her friends gave to the Middle School girls. Her plans at this time are to continue her education.
Alonso Aguilar is the son of Jose and Maria Aguilar; he was born in Mexico October 4, 1993. His plans for next year include going to college and getting a good job. Alonso’s future plans consist of opening his own business. One place he would like to visit is India, because he wants to taste their different types of foods. Something Alonso remembers most about school is how tired he would be everyday, and if he could change something about his high school career it would be to get better grades. The people that Alonso admires most are his parents, because they have always been there for him. His favorite book is Lord of the Flies, song and music is everything but country, favorite types of movies are action, comedy and drama, and his favorite teacher is Coach O’Loughlin.

Jonathan Ross Sullivan Nineteen year old, Jonathan Ross Sullivan was born to Kenny Sullivan and Kathy Keith December 13, 1993 in Liberal. Many will remember Ross as being “Ross,” his own person. For Ross he must have had some dynamic recesses because they were his favorite memory. He does reflect, as many have, that he should have tried harder in high school. His biggest impact in school was during his sophomore year when he crashed a 4-wheeler and knew he would have died if he hadn’t been wearing a helmet. Ross admires his mom because she is so strong. His favorites include the book Bleachers by John Grisham, the song Colder Weather by Zac Brown Band, R&B, rap and country music, The Dark Knight and teachers Mrs. Waters and Mrs. Crawford. Future plans include attending Seward County Community College.
Agustin Angulo Agustin Angulo is the son of Sofia Duran and Saul Angulo. He was born in Phoenix, Az. February 5, 1993. His plans for next year are to move back home to Phoenix and in the future go to college. He would also like to visit Hawaii, because he wants to play on the beach. Agustin enjoys listening to Stunt Hard by Drake, hip-hop and rap music, watching Grown Ups, and his favorite teacher is Coach Rodriguez. What he will remember most about high school is all of his friends, and if he could change anything about his high school career it would be not having as many absences. The greatest impact on Agustin’s life in high school would be becoming a father. The person he admires most would be his mom, because she has always been there for him.
Sharon Ivette Gonzalez NHS, top 10% of class Sharon Ivette Gonzalez is the daughter of Alberto and Victoria Gonzalez. Sharon was born June 10, 1993 in Mexico City, Mexico. Some of Sharon’s favorites include the book The Boy in The Moon, the song Solo Por Un Beso (Just For A Kiss), the movie Courageous, and Mrs. Hernandez. She admires her parents because “they work hard for me and my brother”. She regrets not taking more college classes while in high school. The biggest impact in high school was becoming a state officer for FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America. The LMD – Latinos Make a Difference and FBLA trips will always bring fond memories to Sharon. If she could visit any place she would like to go to New York City because it is the city of fashion. Her plans for the future include attending Seward County Community College then moving on to K-State to graduate with a marketing degree.

Randy Jair Vazquez Cruz Randy is the son of Maribel Vazquez, born in Oaxaca, Mexico October 3, 1992. Future plans for next year and in the future are to work. The place he would like to visit most is his birth town Oaxaca, Mexico. Some of Randy’s favorite things are reading the book New Moon, listening to Remix Bass and all types of genres, watching New Moon, Kocu, and Dragon Ball Z. His favorite teachers are Mrs. Hagenah and Miss Trujillo. Things he remembers most about high school are working with his teachers learning English, lunch line, enjoying physical education, and playing baseball with his friends. He wouldn’t change one thing about his high school career. The person Randy admires most is his mother, because she raised him by herself. He also admires his sister because she is caring for him now. The most rewarding challenge in his life in high school would be learning English because it was difficult to learn. School was difficult and Randy would like to thank all of his teachers for helping him. He will never forget them and his friends.
Marissa Nicole Gonzales Class Treasurer Marissa Gonzales was born to Maria Tapia and Andres Maestas October 1, 1993 in Brownfield, Tx. She admires her mother the most because she is a hard worker. Her favorite book is Where the Wild Things Are. She likes watching comedy movies and her favorite is Mean Girls. In addition she likes jamming to pop music. Her senior jam out anthem was Stereo Heart by Gym Class Heroes. Her favorite teachers would be Mrs. Waters and Mrs. Crawford. One day she would like to take a trip to Barcelona, Spain. Marissa has many memories about high school but the one that stood out the most was the Spanish trip to the tortilla factory with Liz, Blanca and Zane. Marissa would change her seating arrangements in the library during her high school career and avoid Ty, because her face seemed to be a magnet to the rubber bands he always shot. The events that had the greatest impact in high school would be anything that involved her dance team. Marissa plans to attend Fort Hays State University next year. She aspires to be a rehab counselor one day.
Aldo Jovanny Castañeda Aldo Jovanny Castañeda was born in Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico June 14, 1994 to Tomas Castañeda and Maria Macias. Aldo admires his dad for teaching him to work hard and be strong. His friends and activity trips are happy memories for Aldo but he wishes he would have gotten involved in more activities. He realizes socializing had a great impact on him and taught him to have fun. Aldo’s favorites include the movie Project X, Latin and Mexican music, the song Intentalo, and the book Among the Hidden. Aldo plans to attend college, earn a bachelor’s degree and have a career.

Diana Don Juan Where Are the Children by Mary Higgins Clark, Lovumba, all kinds of music, the movie Courageous and teachers Mrs. Leininger and Mrs. Rome are just a few of Diana Don Juan’s favorites. Given the opportunity she would visit Rio De Janero, Brazil because it is a beautiful place. Diana Don Juan was born to Trinidad and Magdalena Don Juan January 24, 1993 in Liberal. Her parents have been an important part of her life and she admires them for being successful and accomplishing everything they put their minds to. Memories of the LMD trips with friends, Mrs. Henne and Mrs. Hernandez will always be significant to Diana. Many of the trips were fun but very educational. If she had it to do over Diana would be more involved in school. Her plans for the future include getting her CNA and obtaining her nursing degree.
Marina Lynnae Meyers Born February 4, 1993 in Liberal, Marina Meyers is the daughter of Matthew and Daisy Holley. Her favorites include the book Wuthering Heights, the song The Trouble with Girls by Scotty McCreery, any country music, the movie 21 Jump Street, and teacher Mrs. Sosa. She admires her friend Kassiddy Littlefield because “she looks like me”! Her biggest impact in high school was Mr. Gloden’s “inspirational words of wisdom”. If she could have do overs she would play more sports and take more classes that would help her in the future. She will always remember all the funny comments Mr. Waters would make about the people that were absent in seminar. Plans for Marina include going to Seward County Community College and going on to become an early elementary school teacher. Someday she would like to visit Hawaii because Kassiddy had a dream about it and it was awesome!

The person Beni admires most is his father, who taught him right from wrong and has always been there for him in good times and bad. Having good times with friends and meeting new people were highlights of Beni’s high school years. His greatest impact was exceeding expectations of what others felt he could do. After graduation he plans to attend college and pursue a degree in computer technology.
Austin Doyle Nightingale Born in Geneva, Ne. June 28, 1993, Austin Doyle Nightingale came to bless Kendrick Nightingale and Jonie Brockett. Austin says he probably needed to work harder in high school and remembers Mr. Moore’s seminar the most. He admires his father the most because even if he is down he still has something good to say. Favorites of Austin’s include teachers Mr. Gloden and Mr. Moore, the movie Sandlot, rap and hip hop music, the song When I’m Gone by Eminem and the book The Berlin Boxing Club. Austin’s plan for next year is to work or join the Marines and eventually he will get married and have kids.

Born in Chihuahua, Mexico to Nicolas and Margarita Bustillos, Manuel Bustillos is a quiet, simple, respectful and reserved person. He admires his father because he is always optimistic. He says he will never forget Mr. Gloden’s Biology class. He regrets that he would put things off while in high school and would make a change if he could do it over. High school in itself has been the biggest impact because it has helped Manuel in many ways. Manuel enjoys the book Chronicles of Narnia and Mr. Rome. If he could visit any place he would go to Yellowstone National Park to enjoy the scenery. Manuel plans to go to college and he remains undecided about his plans after college.
Dallas Nicole Soderlund was born in Oberlin July 25, 1994 to Holly Gallentine and Kevin Soderlund. Dallas admires her mom because she taught her no matter where life takes you family is one step behind. Her greatest memories of high school are all the great times in seminar with Briel, Chris, Tyler, Cody and Bill. She wouldn’t change anything about her high school years because she lived life to the fullest. Dallas states her greatest impact of high school was the loss of Mrs. Beadles her sophomore year. She was really close to her and it showed her someone can leave your life in an instant, never leave words unspoken. Dallas’s favorites include the song Take Care by Drake, music artist Drake and Lil Wayne, the movie Despicable Me and Mr. Rome. She plans to attend Fort Hays State University, graduate with a nursing degree, live in a big city and work as a neonatal nurse. Some day she would like to visit Ireland because that is where her ancestors are from and it’s a beautiful place.
Jesus Arturo Jimenez Arturo Jimenez would love to travel to Mexico to see family and friends. Born March 7, 1993 to Elsa Farmer some of Arturo’s favorites include comic books, the theme song from Lion King as well as its whole soundtrack, the movie Superman, and his para Ms. Camacho. He admires his best friend Bryce Dunn for being a good friend. He really liked Coach O’s and Mr. Waters’ classes in school. Arturo will always be remembered for his love for Superman and dancing to Thriller at the dances. His plans for the future are undecided.

John Weslee Baehler Krista Sharon Sallee Gene and Cari Sallee were blessed with the birth of their daughter Krista Sharon September 5, 1993 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Grandma Sharon is the person Krista admires most, as Sharon is an inspiration to everyone who knows her because of her kindness and compassion. If Krista could change anything about high school it would be the loss of so many friends throughout those years. She remembers school trips and meeting new people from different places most and states the greatest impact was losing her parents’ trust and having to gain it back. Favorites of Krista’s are the book Hurt Go Happy, the song If I Ever Leave This World Alive by Flogging Molly, country and rock music, the movie Cars, and Mrs. Sosa. Someday she would like to visit Ireland for a new place to explore and to see a new culture. Krista plans to attend Oklahoma Panhandle State University, graduate and move to south Texas and start a western store.

It was a special New Year’s Eve in 1992 for Vernon and Tamara Baehler when son John Weslee was born in Garden City. John tells us that he wouldn’t change anything about high school and remembers most the times he slept. He credits his grandparents Jim and Shirley Mothes and Curt Slocum for always being there to help him when he needed it. He would like to visit Hawaii someday because he hopes it is warm, has beaches and hopefully NO WIND! Favorites include the book House of Scorpion, the song The Theft, hard rock music, the movie Fast Five, and teacher Mr. Moore. He plans to attend Northwest Kansas Technical College to become a mechanic on high performance cars.
Cristian Escalera Cristian Escalera remembers most all the shenanigans with his friends. His high school years were so awesome and he wouldn’t change a thing. Attending the Harvest of Hope Leadership Academy was the greatest impact on his life giving him valuable lessons for life. Cristian blessed the home of Jose and Damaris Escalera December 5, 1993 in Chihuahua, Mexico. He enjoys hip hop and Spanish music and plans to go to college and get married.

Brady Earon Blackburn Brady Blackburn, the son of John and Joann Blackburn was born in Liberal May 29, 1994. His plans for next year consist of attending Seward County Community College, and in the future becoming a Zookeeper. Brady’s favorite book is House of Night Series, song Red Nation and Rock and Rap are his favorites types of music. The movie he likes most is Clash of the Titans and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Waters. One place he would like to visit most is Puerto Rico because he has never been there. One thing he will remember most about school is his friends, and he wouldn't change a thing about his high school experience. The person Brady admires most is his granddad, because he was a good man. The biggest impact on his life was attending the Jr. - Sr. Prom because that was his first one.
Jose Antonio Sandoval A quiet, shy boy was born to Josefina and Antonio Sandoval Novemer 28, 1993. With little to say senior Jose Sandoval can melt your heart with his mischievous smile. Some of his favorites include the book Thieves Like Us, hip hop and rap music and his instructor Mr. Aranki at SCCC. He remembers most getting in trouble at school and admits he should have gotten better grades. He admires his dad and says meeting his girlfriend Melissa Avila impacted his life the most. Jose plans to attend college to get a degree and then get a job.

Her favorite books and movies are The Twilight Series, hip-hop, R&B, Reageton, Corridos and Bachata music. Teachers Mrs. Sosa, Mrs. Waters, Mr. Gloden, and LMD sponsor Mrs. Hernandez are among her favorites. Neli admires Mr. Hagenah because he’s smart and a wonderful human being. Neli will always remember the trips to the counselor’s office with friends. If she could change things she would have been more involved and focused. The greatest impact for her was a wonderful motivational speech by Joe White at school. Her plans for next year include going to college to become a law enforcement officer and work. After college she would like to get married and start having children.

Dillion Hawk Jennifer García Jennifer García, the daughter of Marina Aguirre and Victor Garcia was born October 23, 1993 in Denver, Co. For Jennifer high school holds memories of making Miss Trujillo mad, her favorite teacher Mr. Waters, learning about herself, and getting to know new friends. Plans for her future include attending K-State as she pursues a nursing degree. The person Jennifer admires most is her friend Yori, whose mother died when she was six but has always been able to move on in life.
Berta Lisa Garcia Lisa Garcia is the daughter of Monica Dominguez and Mario Garcia. She was born August 30, 1993 in Burlington, Co. Lisa and her family moved to Hugoton in 2011 shortly after her senior year began. Moving to a new school was hard but Lisa realized through the move that she had many great things and she should always appreciate them. Becoming best friends with Nallely Dominguez and Chrisandra Rodriguez her sophomore year has brought many memories for her but having her friend Joshua Oaks Churchwell murdered impacted her high school career a lot. Lisa admires her family in general because they have pushed her to do her best. Some of her favorites include Gates of Paradise, the song Blood by The Middle East, movies Red, P. S. I Love You, and All About Steve, and teachers Mrs. Kula and Mr. Poet of Burlington High School in Burlington, Co. Lisa plans to go to college and survive – hopefully starting a career as an art professor.

Dillion Hawk’s plans for next year are to attend Seward County Community College, and in the future to become a state trooper. His parents are Tammy Carlile and Danny Hawk. Dillion is the twin brother of Dalton. They were born in Liberal August 16, 1993. The places Dillion would like to visit are Ann Harbor, Mi. to watch Michigan play and so he can stand in the biggest stadium in the United States. Some of his favorites are the books Maximum Ride and Annual Experiment, song is Make it Stop by Rise Against, favorite type of music is anything, movie is Cars 2, and his favorite teacher was Mr. Hunt. The person he most admires is Coach Kilbourne, because he was always happy and positive about whatever happened. The thing he most remembers about high school is going 10-1 in football, and he wouldn’t change a thing about it. The biggest event that happened in high school that impacted Dillion’s life was moving to Hugoton.
Sherelle Wren Shuck NHS Troy and Shawnna Shuck welcomed a delightful baby girl, Sherelle Wren June 13, 1993 in Liberal. Sherelle is a “daddy’s girl,” admiring him for teaching her so much and being a great role model. Memories of high school for Sherelle are Mr. Gloden making at least ten jokes a day and her freshmen year of softball when the team won league. She wouldn’t change anything about high school because she says everything happened to make her who she is. Favorites include Mr. Gloden of course, the movie Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, Christian and pop music, the song Precious Lord Take My Hand, and the book White Fang. She would like to visit Alaska so she can see its landscape. Sherelle’s plans for the future are to attend Seward County Community College, get married, have kids, and be a business manager.

Zachary Todd Kiley March 8, 1994, Zachary Kiley was born in Liberal to Larry and Karen Kiley. Zach’s favorites include the song Life Isn’t Easy by Mac Miller, the book The Four Blind Mice, and the movie Hangover 2. Zach would like to visit Britain so he can hear their accents. He most admires his dad, because he has been a great example of the person he wants to be. Memories for Zach include all of the hard times Mrs. Crawford gave him in Chemistry and College Biology. Next year he plans to attend Wichita State University as an accounting major. In the future, he would like to get his CPA and work for a company in Wichita.
Samuel and Susan McLeod welcomed a beautiful fair haired little girl into this world November 21, 1993. For Hannah the biggest impact in her high school career was moving to Hugoton her senior year from the rainy, traffic-packed city of Seattle, Wa. Although it was different Hannah adjusted well. She remembers most playing soccer in Seattle, moving to Hugoton, getting a job, and making many great friends. A good read for Hannah would be Nicholas Sparks’ The Last Song and she tells us Mrs. Sosa is her favorite teacher and one who impacted her life. Someday she would like to venture the vast outback of Australia but for next year she will settle with attending a community college to attain her nursing degree.
Zachary J. Ragan Zachary J. Ragan is the son of Wendy King and Terry Ragan. He tells us that if he could change high school he would allow free time to do whatever. His best memories of school were seeing friends and laughing in class. He admires his mom the most because she got him through high school. Favorites of Zach include rap and hip hop music, the song Getting Paid and Mrs. Beltz. Zach would like to visit anywhere but Hugoton. Plans for the future include work and finishing college. Luis Daniel Erives was born November 29, 1993 in Liberal to Miguel and Irma Erives. He admires his parents because they have always been by his side through everything. His greatest memories are the bus rides to all the football and basketball games. If he could change anything he would have taken his classes more seriously and played football all four years. Losing Antonio Romo the summer of his senior year was the biggest impact on him. It made him realize that you really never know when your last day is going to be. Favorites of Luis are the book Heaven is for Real; the song Anything and Everything by Lil Wayne; rap and hip hop music; the movie Warrior; and teacher Mrs. Crawford. He plans to attend Seward County Community College to become an electrical engineer.
Abe Easton and Doreen Easton welcomed a precious baby girl, Fantasia Cerina, June 11, 1993 at Council Grove. Tasia admires her step mom Sherry the most because “she became my mother when she did not have to!” Memories that will stay with Tasia are the bus rides with teammates. She wouldn’t change anything about high school but says being a part of the girls who played sports impacted her life the most - they are great people. Some of Tasia’s favorites include the book Wrecked, song Pocketful of Sunshine, any type of music, the movie Beetlejuice, and Coach O. She would like to visit California to see family and go to Disney Land. Plans for her future include going to Oklahoma Panhandle State University for a business degree and attending massage classes in Guymon so hopefully someday she can have her own massage business.

In Liberal June 28, 1993 James Hale was born to parents Bruce and Shirley Hale. James credits joining the military as his greatest accomplishment in life thus far. More than anything James remembers doing homework in school. He most admires his Uncle Alfred because he was in the military and set such a great example for James. Some of his favorites are the book Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow, the movie Clash of the Titans, and rock music. James would love to visit the Bahamas and see the sights. His only regret of high school is that he did not get better grades. Upon graduation James plans to go to college and serve his military time.
Miranda McKenzie Ramsey was born October 26, 1993 in Liberal to Melisa Norton and Jeff Ramsey. Being Italian, Miranda would love to visit Italy just to see what it’s all about. A few of her favorites include The Transformer movies because her little brother got her hooked on them, song Best Thing I Never Had by Beyonce, pop and country, the book The Vow, and Coach Gillen. If she had it to do over again she would have worked harder as a freshman. Her senior basketball season impacted her the most and will be one she will never forget. Miranda plans to join her sister Mariah at Pittsburg State to become a teacher and then also a coach. Miranda looks up to her sister Mariah for being very strong and credits her for the person she has become today.

Nataly Cristal Martinez Class President Rosa and Jose Martinez welcomed a special valentine, Miss Nataly, into their lives February 14, 1994. Nataly admires her parents for being so strong and for always being there for her. Her favorite things include hip-hop music, the movie Grownups, teacher Mr. Gloden and ISS supervisor Mrs. Livengood. Most memorable moments for Nataly were winning league in softball her freshman year and being crowned the fall homecoming queen her senior year. For the future, Nataly would like to attend nursing school.

Cynthia Denise Torres Eighteen years ago in the big city of Dallas, Tx., Raul and Lorena Torres were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Cynthia Denise. Now 18 years later she is graduating from high school with plans to attend K-State University. During high school Denise’s parents were always the people she admired – “they worked their ‘butts’ off just to get me where I am”. As she looks back, she remembers spirit weeks the most and regrets not trying harder in high school. She feels that having our first Black president impacted her life. Denise’s favorites include the book Twilight, the song The Motto by Drake, pop and rap music, the movie Project X, and teachers Mrs. Mahan, Mr. and Mrs. Merritt, Mrs. Waters, Mrs. Hernandez, Coach Rod and secretary Teresa.
Avory Terrell Stegman Top 10% of Class Senior Avory Stegman was born May 25, 1993 to Tron and Annie Stegman. His greatest memories include hanging out with friends and learning. Favorites include the book SLAM! by Walter Dean Myers, the song Living in the Projects by Lil Scrappy, rap and hip hop music, the movies Coach Carter and Gridiron Gang and teacher Mrs. Crawford. If he could have do overs he would like to have played more sports and been involved in more activities. His greatest impact was being able to play his senior year of football with friends. The place Avory would like to visit is Canton, Oh., to see the Football Hall of Fame. His plans for the future include attending K-State and becoming a Physicians Assistant.

Laton Kyle has a lot of special memories of high school – prom, basketball, hanging out with friends to name a few. He says he would have liked to have been more outgoing as a freshman and attributes being a part of the Cross Country team as being the greatest impact in his high school career. Laton was a member of both Cross Country teams that qualified for State and placed. His Papa, Larry Brady, is the person he admires the most for his humor and work ethic. Melissa Avila Gloria and Salvador Avila welcomed their daughter Melissa into this world January 11, 1993 at Johnson. Melissa states the greatest impact in high school was meeting her boyfriend Jose Sandoval. She regrets missing so much school and would do things differently if she could. Her biggest memory was arguing with Mrs. Delgado about staying after school every day. She admires her mom the most because “. . .she deals with me everyday”. Favorites of Melissa include the book I Only Did it Because I Was Scared, the songs Young Wild and Free and Intentalo, rap, Mexican Corridos, tribal music, and movies Harold and Kumar, Scary Movie 4, and A Day Without Mexicans. Her favorite teachers were Mr. Rodriguez and Para Sonia Delgado. Plans for the future include going to college, getting a degree and starting a cute family.
Alondra Meraz Alondra Meraz was born September 6, 1993 in Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Rosalva Gonzalez and Alfredo Cantu. Alondra’s greatest impact in high school was going to KAMS for the last two years of high school at Fort Hays State University. She states this opportunity changed her life completely. Alondra has many persons she admires - her mom, sister Brenda, Ron Keller and her grandparents. Favorites of hers are the book Death Angel, songs too numerous to list, music—anything she can dance to, movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and teachers Joel and Shawna, her art instructors at Fort Hays State. She says her high school memories are of going to Sonic every day after school with the girls and paying with coins. Plans for Alondra’s future include working on a triple major of nursing, studio art and Spanish at Fort Hays State University, obtaining her Bachelors degree, graduate school and then medical school.

Next fall Kevin plans to attend Northwest Kansas Technical College and later manage his own automotive business. Jayme LeAnne Muncy NHS and Top 10% of class Jayme LeAnne Muncy plans to attend K-State and major in psychology. She wants to become a psychologist so she can help people. Jayme is the daughter of Bryan Muncy. Her favorites include the Harry Potter Series, country music, her favorite song is Somethin Bout a Truck by Kip Moore and she claims she liked all of her teachers but Mrs. Sosa and Mr. Rodriguez stood out the most. Jayme would like to visit Paris because it looks beautiful and she wants to see the Eiffel Tower. She admires her grandma because she is such a strong woman. Memories of high school include research papers and hanging out with friends. A regret for Jayme is not playing basketball her junior and senior years. Although if it were possible, Miguel would have liked to try harder in his academics; but that is the only thing he would change. Stetson Paul Honig FBLA Vice President March 31, 1994 in Mitchell, S.D., Ron and Nancy Honig welcomed Stetson Paul Honig into the world. Stetson believes being a senior is the event which has had the greatest impact on his life because it has made him more outgoing and has allowed him to make friends he otherwise might not have made. Pedro Hugo Peña Graduating from high school will be the greatest impact of Pedro Peña’s high school. He realizes now he should have tried harder and gotten better grades. Pedro enjoys life and music, the movie Project X and his favorite teacher Coach Rod. He admires his father because he is a good man, father and friend. Stetson Yates Haynes Senior Stetson Haynes was born February 19, 1993 in Liberal to Curt and Kathy Haynes. Briel Kaye Mills Briel Mills was born December 19, 1993 in Liberal to Steve and Tammi Mills. Favorites for this nineteen year old senior are the books Heaven Is For Real, the song Let Me Ease Yo Mind by Boosie, she loves rap music, the movie Friday, and Mrs. Rawlings. When asked a place she would like to visit, Briel states Heaven because she would love to see her family and friends there – may they rest in peace. Her Nana warrants admiration from Briel because she has taught her many things that will help her later in life. As for high school, Briel tells us she wouldn’t change a thing; she had a great time and made good memories being crazy with friends. As for her future, Briel wants to get into a nursing program, become a nurse and start a family.
Obed Juarez is the son of Jose and Maria Juarez. Obed says if he could change anything about high school he would allow open lunch again. Seminar made a big impact on Obed providing him with lots of memories. He admires his dad because he’s always been there for him through everything. Raúl A. Peña April 12, 1994, Octavio and Estella Pena welcomed their new son Raúl. Raúl was born in Odessa, Tx. His future plans are to attend Kansas State University and eventually find Big Foot. Kassiddy J. Littlefield October 23, 1993 a precious baby girl, Kassiddy, blessed the lives of Mick and Christy Littlefield. The biggest impact of her high school years is “hopefully graduation,” states Kassiddy. Her memories of school are her friends and if she could change anything it would have been moving around so much. Kassiddy’s favorites include all kinds of music, but her favorite song is White Trash Beautiful by Everlast. The place she would like to visit is Hawaii because she had a dream she lived there and it was “awesome!” In the future Kassiddy plans to attend Solon Academy, receive her beauticians’ license and open her own beauty salon.

Isidro Francisco Mora Breanna Linn Munn Breanna would like to thank the Hugoton Class of 2012 for letting her join their class and giving her a chance. Transferring from Rolla her senior year was the greatest impact on her life but it worked! Breanna, the daughter of Robert and Tamara Munn was born June 10, 1993 in Liberal. Breanna admires her mom because she has always been there and her love is forever. She wouldn’t change anything about high school because it is the time to make mistakes and learn from them. Her memories include hanging out with her friends and getting pushed to do her best. Colten Todd Lissolo Kelli Jo Schmidt Kelli Schmidt is the daughter of Sandy and Kevin Schmidt. She was born December 6, 1992 in Pipestone, Mn. Kelli admires her grandpa Bob Oder the most. “Even though he has been through rough times in his life, he is still strong and wise” states Kelli. If she had it to do over she would have participated in more sports and clubs. The greatest impact for her was losing two of her best friends, Crystal Medina and Antonio Romo. She will always remember sitting in Economics telling Mr. Rodriguez “We will pay him if he gives us the answers . . .” Of course it didn’t work! Next fall Colten will be playing football for the Hutch Blue Dragons and hopes to become rich and famous in the near future.
Mariela Gonzalez Mariela Gonzalez was born to Maria Lucia and Juan Gonzalez August 20, 1994 in Johnson. She says the greatest impact on her life was entering high school because it changed a lot of things and taught her a ton, too. Her memories are of those funny moments with all her friends. She admires her parents because they have never let her down. Mariela’s favorites include the book A Child Called It, the song Promise, any type of music, the movie Dispicable Me, and Mr. Rome. Some day she would like to visit Italy because she loves Italian food. Mariela plans to go to Seward County Community College and continue on to become a lawyer for immigration.

Riece Wayne Clinesmith Riece Clinesmith’s plans for next year are to attend Seward County Community College and Area Vocational School participating in the Diesel Mechanics Program. As for his plans for the future, he is going to graduate and get a great job pertaining to diesel mechanics. Riece is the son of Richard and Dana Clinesmith, and was born November 9, 1993 in Liberal. A place he would like to visit is Florida, because he wants to go to the beach and get a tan. One person Riece most admires was his grandpa Robert, because he always made sure his grandkids knew he loved them. Some things Riece enjoys most are Guys Like Me by Eric Church and country is his favorite type of music. His favorite movie is Beer for My Horses and his favorite teacher was Mrs. Beadles. Among the things Riece remembers most about high school was sneaking out for lunch, and if he could change something about high school it would be to get better grades in all his classes. Mr. Gloden’s quote “Thinkers make it farther than non-thinkers,” made the biggest impact in his life.
Taylor Denise Moss Taylor Denise was born July 19, 1994 in Liberal to Bob Moss and Terri Wilson. Taylor’s fondest memory is doing homework ten minutes before class and spending time with friends. She wouldn’t change a thing about her time at HHS. Something that impacted her most in life was finding out the difference between real and fake friends. Favorites of Taylor’s are the book The Help, the song That Way by Wake, and teacher “ Mrs. Crawford of course, for a cupcake”. Taylor has two people she admires most and says they know who they are. Someday she would like to visit Bora Bora because it is gorgeous. Next year she plans to go to nursing school and her plans for the future are to go “wherever life takes me and to be happy”.
Cassidy Rae Reed NHS If Cassidy Reed could visit any place in the world, she says she would like to visit Disney World, because she has wanted to go since she was little. She most admires her Nanny for her caring personality. Cassidy was welcomed into the world June 24, 1994 in Liberal by Ray and Donna Reed. Some of her favorites are the book Redeeming Love, the song Marry Me by Train, and the movie While You Were Sleeping. Her favorite teachers are Mr. and Mrs. Veatch. Memories of prom, games and all of the other social events from her time at Hugoton High School will be with Cassidy forever. Next year Cassidy plans to attend West Texas A&M where she will major in business. In the future, she would like to work in some type of business and one day establish her own.

Skylar John Erwin McLain Skylar’s greatest memory was winning a shootoff during halftime of a Ulysses basketball game. His only regret is that he did not study more and do more crazy things with his friends. The event which has had the greatest impact on Skylar’s life was going to State in track as a junior. Born January 12, 1993 to Eddie and Cherie McLain, Skylar’s favorite things include the song My Last, dubstep music, the movie Project X, and Coach O. Skylar would like to visit Japan in order to see all of the crazy things there. He most admires his grandpa because he has always been there for him. Next year he plans to go to college and run track. Eventually he would like to be a DJ.
Anthony Jordan Wells
Logan Michael Crawford Mark and Keri Crawford welcomed a bouncing baby boy, Logan Michael, April 21, 1994 in Wichita. If he could change one thing, Logan would change that he never dunked a basketball in a varsity game while at HHS. His memories of high school include laughing and getting in trouble with friends. Favorites for Logan include The Hobbit by JRR Tolken, country, alternative, and hip-hop music, and the movie Remember the Titans. Logan will attend Kansas State University next year majoring in computer engineering. Future plans are to get a software engineering job at Apple. Perhaps in the distant future he can visit his dream place, Italy, where the country is beautiful and they have good food.
Anthony Jordan Wells is the son of Cynthia Rivera. He was born in Dayton, Oh., September 5, 1993. Anthony joined the Army and will be serving our country in the future.

Dalton Hawk
Ty John Haller Ty enjoys reading The Lost Olympian along with listening to country music and Keith Urban’s, For You. His favorite movie is Iron Man and favorite teacher is Mr. Mahan. Someday, Ty would like to go hunting in Alaska. He admires his parents because they are the most hard working and honest people he knows. He remembers the lunch conversations with friends and learning to never quit a sports season. If he could do it over again, Ty would try harder in his academics. Ty Haller was born November 23, 1993 in Gordon, Ne., to John Haller and Tina Stelzer. In the future, Ty plans to become a Marine. Semper Fi, Ty!
Dalton Hawk, twin son of Danny Hawk and Tammy Carlile was born August 16, 1993 in Liberal. Dalton admires his twin brother Dillion Hawk, because he is the coolest family member. Favorites of Dalton's include Mr. Gloden, heavy metal music and his favorite song is Homies by Insane Clown Posse. Dalton's greatest impact in high school was enrolling at Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa, Ok. After high school Dalton will attend Tulsa Welding School. Dalton says he has no specific place he would like to visit because he would like to travel the whole country.
Rachel Elaine Long Rachel Elaine Long is the daughter of Michelle Morin. She moved to Hugoton from Florida and will return to Florida to attend Brevard Community College after graduation.
