PROJECT CANAAN This is a 6-Storey Industrial Development with primarily warehousing at the rear end of the building and food production at the front. A bakery for NYC Bagel & Swisstreats pastry and a Central Kitchen for Pastamania occupy Level 3 & 4 of the production floors. Working around requirements for controlled environment for food production, and keeping to efficiency in the warehousing flow, the design in this project centres around the Main Adminstrative Office on Level 6, infused with pockets of open courtyard that not only bring in extra daylighting but also breaks the monotony of the large floor plate. The injection of green continues throughout the building with sky terraces fronting the facade, and a main roof terrace that connects to the Staff Cafetaria and Training Kitchen at Level 6 at the rear. Location: Buroh Lane (Jurong East Planning Area) Gross Floor Area: 27,145.50sqm Project Value: 7 Million Completion: 4th Quarter, 2015 (Phase I) 1st Quarter, 2016 (Phase II) Client: Commonwealth Food Services Consultants: IGnesis (M&E), Thymn (C&S), IO Consultants (Kitchen Specialist), Turner & Townsend (QS) Contractors: Boustead Projects, Evergreen (M&E), Tong Loong (Fire Systems), Kaer (ACMV), PCE (Chiller System), GPCon (Coldroom), Dematic (Racking), Somerville (Kitchen), Jim&Hall (ID), Kok Keong (Landscape) Involvement: Design / Presentation Drawings / Code Compliance / Authorities Submission (BIM) / Tender & Construction Drawings / Project Management & Coordination

OLO KIDS’ CLUB As part of the Montigo Resorts, the Olo Kids’ Club is built entirely with local bamboo and lalang (thatch), and by local craftsman to reverberate the materiality and spacial quality representative of the place. Conceived as a continuous playscape, little kids could climb up by irregular steps on one end of the structure and slide down (into the pool) at the other. Interspersed in between are the bedroom, washrooms & activity rooms on the first storey. site: Batam, Indonesia type: Hospitality status: Completed in 2012 involvement: Design iteration / Model-making / 3D Visuals / Construction Drawings

FIELD
(THE BENCH)
Field is an entry as part of the Bench initiative, organised by FARM to commemorate the old National Stadium by introduce new purpose and design to the salvaged timber seating planks from the historic landmark. The 10 of the 15 wooden planks were kept at its original state, as if sewn together to create a surface, almost like a picnic mat that lays over the field. The experience is one that brings the user closer to the ground, and the wooden planks back to nature. site: Dhoby Green, Singapore type: Urban Furniture owner / organiser: URA status: Completed in 2014 involvement: Design Development / Model-Making / Presentation Drawings
