The Missing of Accessible Facility The site is located along Detroit River, within a neighborhood that mainly lives single families and surrounded with limited cultural facilities. To activate the riverfront streetscape, the project proposes a bold and transparent landmark, providing services for both non-residents and local residents on different levels. Besides, the residential units have achieved flexible living space given the household types changing during time changes.

02 Pets' Realm in Cubes Animals Shelter Design in Hong Kong Individual Academic Location: Central, Hong Kong, China Instructor: Qiang Wen June, 2018

Main Users, Animals or Humans? Typical pets’ facilities are functional and practical in terms of human needs without adequate attention to animals’ living habits and standards. However, animals are the main users here. A research was conducted on animals’ scales and living habits. Facing the limitation of land shortage and steepness on site, a new walking/habitat system is introduced for cats in the form of pixelation and dome; Meanwhile, the extended pocket park serves as an outdoor space for dogs and a solution towards the steepness.
