Pose star Hailie Sahar drops her debut pop single, Star Traveler, co-written by Kes Kross (Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Joe Jonas) choreographed by JR Taylor (JLo, Beyonce), and directed by Hailie and business partner, Jayce Baron. The music video is a short narrative film that features a transgender teen actor searching for the confidence to be herself through a mysterious videogame she discovers. While on a fascinating extraterrestrial journey, Sahar reminds the world that, no matter what, it is always best to be yourself and don’t let the bullies of the universe take away your stride. As legislation in the country continues to target the LGBTQ+ community, we continue to work, serve, walk, and EAT.

Hailie executive-produced and co-directed with Jayce Baron the award-winning anti-crime documentary, Beyond Ed Buck , which takes a look at internalized homophobia, transphobia, addiction, and the psychological root of predatory behaviors. The film provides a deeper and broader exploration of challenges faced by the Black and Brown LGBTQ+ community. Beyond Ed Buck premiered in 2022 on AMC’s ALLBLK and is now streaming on multiple platforms.

Hailie starred in the two-time Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated FX series, Pose, produced by Ryan Murphy. Pose was the recipient of the AFI TV Program of the Year and the GLAAD Award for Outstanding Drama Series. Pose was also nominated for a Television Critics Choice Award. Pose made global history by encompassing the largest transgender cast in starring roles on a hit television. Hailie can also be seen in the hit Freeform series, Good Trouble

Hailie is set to star and executively produce the iconic trans-rights hero, Sir Lady Java, in the new biopic. Emmy award-winner Anthony Hemingway is slated to direct and executively produce as well. Sir Lady Java was a staple of the Los Angeles nightclub scene in the ’50s and ’60s, sharing the stage with the likes of Sammy Davis Jr., Redd Foxx, Lena Horne, Richard Pryor, and James Brown. Lady Java was targeted by the LAPD who stripped her from her job as a performer due to Rule #9. She diligently push the issue that affected everyone until the law was lifted legally allowing freedom of gender expression for all.

Hailie has overcome many challenges presented to her as a transgender woman. She was crowned “Miss L.A. Pride” and “Queen U.S.A.” Sahar was honored with an invitation to speak on the HIV/AIDS epidemic at The Ronald Reagan International Trade Center for the 57th Presidential Advisory Council and continues to contribute to the East Los Angeles Women’s Center against domestic violence. Hailie has recently been featured in a “Beauty is what we bring to it” story for Allure magazine, where she revealed a facial birthmark. Hailie was featured in Playboy, where she talks about inclusion and the meaning of womanhood, and was featured in People Magazine’s Most Beautiful issue.

Hailie continues to push the narrative and boundaries as an actress, producer, and artist that can do it all and serves as a light for all communities everywhere.
