Business Administration A program at Humboldt State University


The School of Business at Humboldt State University has a unique academic program that is infused with sustainability, grounded in entrepreneurship, and linked to experiential learning opportunities.

The Business Major includes many different concentration options to support your goals. 

Accounting focuses on financial management skills for businesses.

Economics provides the basic analytical foundations of how business firms operate and maximize their overall goals. Finance gives a broad view of planning and directing the financial transactions for an organization. International Business students specialize in the skills global companies are seeking. Management zeros in on the skills necessary for effective decision-making in a business environment. Overview There are five concentrations you can pursue for your B.S. in Business Administration: Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management or Marketing. Employers appreciate that our graduates possess both strong analytical and communication skills. Our well-rounded graduates are in high demand within both the private and public sectors. HSU School of Business graduates work in companies such as Alaska Airlines, Boeing, Callaway Golf, Franchise Tax Board, KPMG International, Nikkei, Native American Organizations, Patagonia, Silicon Graphics, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems and Sysco. Employers today need people who are able to solve problems and communicate effectively. Our programs emphasize critical thinking, communication, and a breadth of knowledge: the building blocks for lifelong learning.
