Completed in Spring of 2021, 1577 Spring Hill Speculative Suites and Amenity was completed in conjuction with Cherner Development . We worked with the general contractor early in the phase to bring this project under-budget and on-time. Bright accents and scaled materials bring new-life to this dated building. This project was completed during a semester of studying abroad in Rome with the University of Arkansas Rome Center Program. The goal of this project was to create a fashion design outlet in the Acquario Romano. The Acquario Romano was designed and built in the late 19th C. and was originally purposed to be an aquarium for the City of Rome. Since then it has functioned as an event space, a circus space, and now houses the Department of Architecture for Rome. The Italian Designer chosen for this space was Marcelo Burlon, a designer based of Milan. Creating his very own symbol and ideology, Burlon designs in a way that celebrates diversity. Often resembling the scene and atmospheres of 1990s club culture, Burlon works in a way that responds to the urban and couture environment.

With some of the best views of the Washington DC National Mall, Northeastern University turned to Collective to turn an existing office building into a highly collaborative post-degree education space.

The open concept maximizes space utilization by the university to host events and informal lessons.

Collective worked hand-in-hand with Northeastern to provide a space that can grow with the new campus’ curriculum, and a space that relfects the beauty of the DC area.

14

Challening the way we think about learning, this 20,000SF buildout provides a multitude of breakout, huddle, and formal learning spaces.

The program includes an open collaboration area, two formal learning spaces, two informal learning spaces, admnistrative areas, videobased learning rooms, a Maker Space and a new game room.

Completed during the third year of design school, this project was based in an existing building, a repurposed Cambell’s Soup Factory. The scope of this project was to create a headquarters for a shoe company that was based in Fayetteville, AR. The design of the space was based off the type of shoe the company produced: a postindustrial, professional active-wear shoe. The space is meant to follow this atmosphere, and create a unique environment that represented the company’s ideals.

IL MAGAZZINO07

The goal of this project was to create a bookstore cafe in the old Mattatoio, or Slaughterhouse of Rome, Italy. The space is a large 15,000 sqft where the goal was to create a mixed use program that was sponsored by an Italian brand or company. For this project, the eyeglasss company, Luxottica was chosen to be the sponsor. What is Luxottica’s goal? It is to create and understand the world from a notion of universal beauty, where the beauty comes to life at the intersection of personal wellbeing, respect for the environment, ethics, and the transparency of relations. What is the guiding force in this project? To highlight the intersection of well-being, the environment and community relationships. This highlight is accomplished by the use of a singular datum line, for instance, yourself. It is then intersected, providing a moment of stasis and pause, to then restart and continue forward.
