K2 Base Camp and Gondogoro La Trek gives great views of four 8,000m peaks and is thought by many to be one of the best high mountain treks in the world. Some of the wildest and most dramatic landscapes on earth are found in the vast, rugged Karakoram Range situated in Northern Pakistan. Remote and spectacular, the icy peaks and vast Glaciers of the Karakoram offer unparalleled opportunities for adventurous trekking. The 62km long Baltoro Glacier is Pakistan’s number one trekking destination. Seven of the world’s twenty-five highest peaks rise above this glacier, while the lower reaches are surrounded by some of the world’s highest granite walls and spires. Our new itinerary combines all that is best in the Karakoram: a visit to K2 Base camp, a challenging ascent of a high pass, and the chance to experience two very different valleys. This trek offers variety and excitement. It is an unforgettable mountain experience.

K2 Base Camp Trek Map and itinerary Day-01 Islamabad Arrive at Islamabad airport transfer to hotel, afternoon welfare meeting with Alpine Club of Pakistan and city tour of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan located within the federal Islamabad Capital Territory. With a population of above two million, it is the 10th largest city of Pakistan, while the larger Islamabad Rawalpindi metropolitan area is the third largest in Pakistan with a population exceeding five million. The city is the political seat of Pakistan and is administered by the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation, supported by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). Day-02 IslamabadSkardu Fly to Skardu early morning one hour flight. (Flight is subject to weather) in case of flight cancellation drive to Chilas. The stunning route of the flight takes goes through the major Himalayan mountain range and one can enjoy breathtaking views of world’s 9th highest peak, Nanga Parbat peak (8126m). Before landing the majestic K2 and other known peaks in the area would visible if we are lucky. Some might even be able to spot a part of the K2 Gondogoro La Trek route. After checking in at the hotel, visit to Skardu town, Old Bazaar, Kharpocho Fort, Italian K2 Museum & Handy Craft Shops. In case of flight cancellation on day 2 Drive to Chilas via Babusar Pass or Karakorum highway Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.173 m (13,691 ft) above the sea level. The pass is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley, Pakistan. The pass connects the Kaghan Valley via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway. It’s one of the famous hair pinned roads in the


world. Karakorum high way is 8th wonder of the world. The Karakorum Highway was constructed jointly by the Chinese and Pakistanis, begun in the 1960s and finally constructed in 1976,s as a link road between Pakistan and China. It is an engineering wonder, but at the cost of many lives Day-03 Skardu Free/preparation day in Skardu in case of flight cancellation on day 2 drive from Chilas to Skardu along with Indus River 8-9hrs 290km. The rising of Indus stretches down to Baltistan valley from Tibet to Gilgit and down to the Arabian Sea, which cuts the Indian sub-continent from Asia; Baltistan valley is called a little Tibet in the North of Pakistan. Baltistan is situated at the last end of Himalaya, beside Deosai Plain and Satpara Lake.

Joining Arrangements & Transfers 

All clients arriving on Day 1 will be met at Islamabad Airport by our representative who will arrange the transfer to the group hotel.


Similarly, transfers will be provided back to Islamabad Airport on the final day of the itinerary. Full joining instructions together with hotel contact details and an emergency number will be provided with your booking confirmation. Meal Plan While in Islamabad accommodation is on Bed and breakfast basis and our guide will guide you to different restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner, while at the camps you will get breakfast with porridge and cereal, toast or chapattis/parathas, omelettes and a range of hot drinks. Normally a hot lunch is served during the trek, In the afternoon you will be given tea and biscuits and a three-course meal will follow with soup, a main meal, and dessert. We bring along fresh vegetables and meat for the main meals. We can cater for those with special dietary requirements, so long as we are informed of these at the time of booking.



Accomodation The accommodation arrangement in Islamabad is of standard hotels. Rooms at our provided hotels will be on twin sharing basis. At the time of camping, the participants will be sharing a tent fit for two persons. If any participant is coming alone on this trek he/she will be accommodated with one of the other member for tent and room sharing. For strangers and solo trekkers, first preference will be given to same gender stays. Nevertheless, a participant can opt for separate tent of hotel rooms as he/she likes, however additional cost will be incurred for making separate arrangement. Any participants seeking separate accommodation must inform our office in advance.





Biafo Hisper trek starts from Skardu- Askoli, which lies on the right bank of Biafo Glacier. Biafo Glacier 68 Kilometers on the Karakorum Range, south of Baltoro glacier leads to Hisper glacier, which is strenuous trek for strong trekkers, which crosses peaks in the range of 5500m to 7300 meters. The famous snow lake is lying on 500 meters behind the pass, the best place for skiers. And small peak climbers, after crossing Hisper La at an altitude of 5151 meters, getting on the other side of Hisper glacier. Which gives a beautiful panoramic view of Mountains around Hisper, glacier. We cross the summer pastures and we get in to Hisper village; from there we meet the Jeeps- drive to, Karimabad.

Heli Trips in Gilgit Baltistan A Safari specially designed for those who are hard pressed for time. The trip starts from Islamabad and after an ascending flight through the picturesque valley of Kaghan, a coffee stop at Shogran – a tranquil summer retreat, proceeds to Fairy Meadows, over flying the legendary Lake Saif ul Maluk and the Old Silk Route across Babu Sar Pass where the scenery becomes most dramatic. Lunch is served at Fairy Meadows a breath taking lovely spot with superb climate offering magnificent views of the North Face of Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest peak of the world. From Fairy Meadows the helicopter flies to Deosai, skirting Nanga Parbat along the Astor valley. The flight over Deosai, a treeless wilderness at 13,000 feet whose air is impregnated with the scent of wild flowers, is a superb experience. You will be seeing Sheosar and Satpara Lakes and if lucky enough the Brown Beers. The flight shall terminate at Shangrila Skardu. On the second day you will be flown to Concordia, over flying the panoramic Shigar Valley and the spectacular Braldu Gorge. At Paiju, the mouth of Baltoro Glacier, you will be able to see the finest rock pinnacle in the world – The Great Trango Towers. At Concordia, an amphitheatre, you will be seeing the four out of the fourteen peaks, which rise above 26,500 feet. From Concordia you will be flown back to Skardu and after lunch will depart for Islamabad via Skardu Gilgit Canyon and the Karakoram Highway.

Rakaposhi Range in the region of Hunza– Nagar valleys. It is also an opportunity to see the local culture of the mountain people. There are summer settlements in this trekking route, local people with their cattle (sheep, goats, yaks and cows etc.). There are pasturelands on the whole trek only on the top have the glacier moraine, it takes 2-3 hours easy walk to cross the moraine.
