hen Billie Faiers arrives for our exclusive photo shoot she’s literally glowing – amazing considering she’s been up in the night with three-year-old Nelly and five-month-old Arthur. Looking chic but casual in a black midi dress with Chanel flats and a denim jacket, she’s excited about her upcoming holiday with Greg, her fiancé of three years, their kids and her mum. Just five months after the birth of her son and she looks incredible – but it’s definitely not down to ‘no carbs before Marbs’, with Billie tucking in to toast with butter and a full-fat latte while answering our questions. Here, the 27-year-old mum, TV reality star and fashion entrepreneur reveals just how she manages to do it all…

So how’s life as a family of four shaping up?

“I’m absolutely loving it. Having Arthur made our family – but he’s growing up far too fast! He’s such a smiley and happy baby and we’re incredibly blessed to have him. But I’m already pining for that newborn baby stage.” Does that mean another baby’s on the horizon?

“I’d love another, but Greg says we need to wait until Nelly and Arthur are sleeping through the night. Nelly can’t understand why Arthur’s in our room and she’s not, so she still tries to get in our bed each night. We’re going to wait and get married before we try for another baby.” Just the one more?

“We might have more than one – never say never! Greg might not be too happy about that idea, but I’m the one that does all the work!” 9

So what’s a typical day like with two young kids?

“Early! Arthur’s up at 4am and has a bottle, drip-feeding until Nelly wakes. Before Greg goes to work I jump in the shower and get ready, otherwise I worry where to put Arthur – Nelly’s always jumping over him if not!” Do you have help?

What advice would you give other mums with a young family?

“I organise everything before I go to bed in preparation for the next day, tidying up and sterilising Arthur’s bottles. I also have a baby chair to hand, so that he’s next to me if I’m running behind and need to get ready.” What do you love about being a mum?

“Nelly goes to nursery two days a week, “It’s the most rewarding job in the world. Arthur’s now smiling away and which is when I fit in my shoots and Nelly’s my little best friend – me and other work – and my mum also helps mum joke she’s an old girl in a three out loads. “I’m not going to lie – I have days where both the kids are screaming and I text Greg asking how soon he can come home! It’s also harder to be spontaneous and go out for a meal or book a weekend away. We’ve only been out for dinner once as a couple since Arthur’s been born, because I feel too guilty asking my mum to have them both overnight.” 11

What was your mum like when you and Sam were growing up?

“My mum always put us first. She’d pick me and my friends up after a night out and we’d always sit down to a family dinner every night. Because Greg works long hours I make Nelly’s tea a little earlier, but I always make sure we eat together at weekends.”

“I’m about to start weaning him, as the doctor said it’ll help with his reflux. I’m going to poach some pears and try him on baby rice. When Nelly was a baby I loved making her baby food, steaming veggies before pureeing.”

“ You said you’ll get married before having another baby. When’s the wedding?

“We’ve been engaged for three years now but we’re not going to get married until 2019. I need to start planning it soon though, especially as we’ve both agreed it’s definitely going to be abroad.”

What will your wedding be like?

“One massive party! We want to have a big brunch one day and a BBQ on the beach on another, as well as our actual wedding. We’ve cut the guest list in half, from over 120 people down to about 60. Greg was worrying about not inviting certain guests – but why should I make small talk with someone who’s never bothered to send Nelly a birthday card? I only want immediate family and friends there for our special day.” Do you have any plans to move out of Brentwood like Sam?

“We’re so ready to move, but we need to stay put until Nelly’s in school as we’re in the catchment area for an excellent primary. We even go to church on Sunday mornings to help her chance of getting in. We’ll be sad to leave as it’s the first home Greg and I bought together, but we need something bigger.”

What will your next house be like?

“It’ll still be in Brentwood ideally, but it’ll be detached, with a bigger garden and gates if we can. I tend to get papped loads walking out of the house so it would be nice to have a bit more privacy. And an orangery would be amazing!” Back to more short-term plans. Where’s your next family holiday 12 going to be?

“Greg, the kids and I are off to stay in a rented villa in Spain for two weeks – and we’re taking my mum along too! Believe it or not Greg prefers it when my mum comes, as it means he can get on and do what he wants. It’s also easier being in a villa rather than a hotel, as we can relax and enjoy our own pool. I can’t count the number of times we’ve stayed in hotels and people sneakily try to take pictures of me in my bikini on their phones. If you want a photo just ask!” 14

Are you good at packing light?

“I always take far too much stuff! I start with the best intentions but then think of how I can take lots of pool shots showcasing my latest collection to pop on social media. Luckily Greg packs his own stuff so I only have to think about what I’m going to take for me, Nelly and Arthur. It takes an entire day to pack for a holiday, which is silly when you think about it. We tend to eat in the villa most of the time, as it’s much more relaxing. Eating out with two young kids in restaurants is hectic – and no one ever really enjoys it.”

What do you do as a family at home?

“Nelly loves Old MacDonald’s Farm in Brentwood so we’re always there. We love entertaining and often invite friends round for lunch. I take Nelly to indoor play centres but she’s bored in 10 minutes and ends up sitting with me and eating my sandwich and crisps!” Describe your perfect weekend…

“On Saturday we get up early and go out for breakfast, or Greg takes Nelly to the farm while I catch up on chores. On Sunday we sometimes go out for dinner – there’s a restaurant with a lovely outside play area nearby, so we watch Nelly have fun while we eat.”

What’s the key to a happy family?

“Spending quality time together – even if it’s having a meal or playing in the garden. I also think mums should take advantage of everything that’s available to make their lives easier. I food shop online so I’m not stressed at the supermarket with the kids, while having a cleaner and someone to do my ironing gives me more time with my family. Top Tips To Get The Most Out Of Your Heart & Home Candles Tip One – Banish Tunnelling The best way to avoid that oh-so-annoying tunnelling right down the centre of your candle wax is to allow the entire top layer of the candle to melt all the way to the sides of the jar first. Get your child passionate about learning with the right toys and games to ignite their imagination

Which parent hasn’t made their little one an aeroplane out of an old cardboard box, or erected an improvised ‘tent’ from two chairs and a duvet? As a parent it’s important to provide your child with the right tools so they can express themselves through play. So, here are a few ideas to really fire up their creativity…
