LIMITED WARRANTY
Husqvarna Construction Products North America, Inc. (“Husqvarna” or “we”) warrants that this product is free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance. We will, at our option, repair or replace any defective product or defective part covered by the Limited Warranty, free of charge at any authorized Servicing Dealer/Center using OEM replacement parts, subject to the limitations and exclusions described below.
Limited Warranty Period. We will warrant the product to the original retail purchaser from the date of retail purchase for the applicable period of time shown on the chart below. Husqvarna products covered by our Limited Warranty (as identified as such in the chart below) are warranted against defects in material or workmanship as reasonable determined by Husqvarna and in compliance with applicable law. This Limited Warranty is only valid while product is owned by the original purchaser.
What is NOT covered. This Limited Warranty does not cover:
1. Fuel, hydraulic and lubricating oil, grease, anti-freeze, air-filter elements.
2. The replacement of hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders or other major components when the failure could have been economically repaired by the replacement of a seal or seal kit.
3. Hoses, fittings, seals and other parts requiring replacement as the result of normal use or wear.
4. Deterioration of parts such as rubber goods or components affected as result of corrosion, chemical, electrical or other harmful influences.
5. Failure of any attachments not manufactured or supplied by HCP.
6. Failures and progressive damage resulting from the use of a non- HCP approved part, accessory or consumable.
7. Failures resulting from improper application, operation and maintenance or repair practices.
8. Damage resulting from negligence, accidents or intentional misuse
9. Towing, cranes, hauling, loading and unloading costs.
10. Repairs required as the result of improper handling, storage or protection by third parties or customer.
11. Down time, lost production costs, lost profits or any other consequential damage and costs.
12. Cost of renting or leasing a back-up unit.
13. Transportation expenses for obtaining replacement.
14. Telephone or other communication expenses.
15. Preventative maintenance or operating services, including but not limited to adjustments and inspections.

18. Non- HCP engines, as engines are covered under the Engine OEM warranty policy.
19. Consumables which become worn through normal use, including, but not limited to; spark plugs, bulbs, filters, lubricants, brake elements, absorbers (anti vibration elements), membranes, belts, blades, blade flanges, chains, rails, recoil springs, clutches, clutch drum sprockets, starter ropes, cables and tines, wear protection, bearing and shaft seals.
20. Normal wear and tear; for the purpose of this Limited Warranty, "normal wear and tear" means any damage that naturally occurs as a result of normal wear or aging (for example, including but not limited to, abrading, beating, bending, chemical, discoloration, loading, revolving, scratching or scraping).
21. A product that has been put on the market without HCP's consent.
22. A product that has been purchased from a distributor or dealer which is not authorized by HCP.
23. Defects or damages to a product on which its model and/or serial number has been replaced or is illegible.
24. Ordinary care and maintenance work listed in the Operating/Maintenance Manual.
25. A product that has been leased from a professional hire company. The warranty must be claimed by the owner of the product.
26. The product not being used for its original purpose or not being assembled, used, serviced, transported or stored in accordance with the instructions in the Operators Manual.
27. Negligent care resulting in entry of water or intense moisture.
28. Improper assembly, set up, pre-delivery service or repair service by anyone other than an authorized HCP servicing Partner during the Warranty Period.
29. Usage of other than Genuine HCP spare parts, accessories or components according to Operator Manual, or, unsuitable or inferior fuel, oil, abrasives or lubricants, voltage/frequency not within specification of the equipment.
30. Accidents, abuse, misuse, negligence, tampering, alteration, modification, willful damage or other circumstances that are attributable to the owner or operator.
31. Continued use with worn or defect components.
32. Use of gasohol (fuel containing ethanol) or gasoline containing methanol (fuel containing wood alcohol). Ethanol fuel E15 or E85 is NOT approved for use in Husqvarna products. Using E15 or E85 fuel will cause major engine damage which is NOT covered by this Husqvarna warranty. Note: Gasohol (fuel containing ethanol) which contains a maximum 10% ethanol (grain alcohol) is approved. The prescribed mixing ratio of gasoline to oil is 50:1 and is listed on the Husqvarna oil label and covered in the operator’s manuals.
33. Force Majeure, which includes but is not limited to, acts of governments, acts of nature, fire, explosion, typhoon, flood, earthquake, tide, lightning, war, means any event that is beyond HCP reasonable control and cannot be prevented with reasonable care.
Your Responsibility. To preserve your rights under this Limited Warranty, you must exercise reasonable care and use of the product, including following the preventive maintenance, storage and fuel and oil usages as prescribed in the operator’s manual. Failure to perform required maintenance as described in the operator’s manual will void this warranty. Any adjustment (e.g. to the throttle cable or belt guides) after the first ninety (90) days of purchase and any preventive maintenance as outlined in the operator's manual are NOT covered by this warranty. In addition, you must cease using the product immediately upon any failure or damage and take the product to an authorized servicing dealer prior to any further use. Finally, if you request warranty evaluation by one of our North American service centers more than 30 days after the date of purchase, you are responsible for the shipping costs to send the product to the service center. However, if a warranty repair is confirmed, we will cover the shipping costs to return the product to you.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS, DISCLAIMERS, AND LIMITED RIGHTS. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR LOSSES, WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT. YOUR REMEDY IS LIMITED TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE PRODUCT OR PART, AT OUR DISCRETION. OUR LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES OTHER THAN THOSE SET FORTH HEREIN . ANY WARRANTY IMPLIED BY STATE LAW (WHETHER OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE OR OTHERWISE) IS HEREBY DISCLAIMED; WHERE SUCH A DISCLAIMER IS NOT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEN SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTY IS LIMITED FOR THE DURATION OF THE APPLICABLE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD LISTED IN THE CHART BELOW. SOME LOCALITIES, INCLUDING THE PROVINCE OF QUEBEC, DO NOT ALLOW EXCLUSIONS OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS BASED ON YOUR LOCALITY.
How to obtain service. To obtain warranty service, you must take your product to an authorized Servicing Dealer/ Center. To find your nearest authorized Servicing Dealer/ Center, visit our website and use the Dealer Locator feature or call 1-800-288-5040 (US) or call 800-461-9589 (Canada) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. You must present proof of purchase (including date, product model and serial number) to an authorized Servicing Dealer/ Center for warranty service. Proof of purchase rests solely with you.
