The HIPERFLOOR process transforms existing concrete substrate into a wear-resistant floor by mechanically refining the concrete. This extends the lifetime of the floor and reduces the volume of waste compared to other flooring options like epoxy, linoleum or vinyl.

The HIPERFLOOR concrete polishing system significantly increases durability and reduces life cycle maintenance costs. The absence of a surface coating reduces costs traditionally associated with flooring installations. The result is a smoother surface with reduced cleaning costs.

THE EASIEST WAY TO RESTORE A CONCRETE FLOOR Concrete grinding is the simplest and most efficient method for levelling and restoring a concrete floor. A good floor grinder equipped with diamond tools will quickly loosen old floor coatings such as paint, epoxy or carpet glue. While the grinder removes coatings it also creates the perfect base for a new floor covering or polishing application.

Why choose grinding over other removal methods? Traditional methods used to remove old coverings require a lot of additional work. When grinding, the rotating discs work horizontally, enabling a far more even and flat surface with minimal need for additional work.

BLASTED CONCRETE is full of pores and irregularities. A significant amount of additional work – liquid levelling compound, drying and more blasting is needed for the surface to be ready for the final floor covering.

A SCARIFIED SURFACE is uneven and rough. Before a final finish can be applied, a lot of levelling compound and several hours of work are needed.

GRINDING a concrete surface exposes a clean and even floor. It is the perfect base to start most applications.

What finish do you want? Husqvana’s smaller floor grinders are perfect for renovating an old concrete floor or creating a good base with the best possible adhesion for painting, laying carpet or other coverings.

ĶĶ SURFACE FOR PAINTING OR LAYING CARPET. Thinner floor coverings such as paint, plastic or vinyl instantly reveal whether or not the base is completely smooth.

ĶĶ SURFACE FOR OTHER FLOOR COVERINGS. Stronger floor coverings such as ceramic floor tiles, textile matting or epoxy are less sensitive to irregularities in the surface. It is very important to remove the old floor covering and create a clean, bare and even surface.

ĶĶ SURFACE FOR POLISHING. Of the small grinders, the PG 450 is also capable of creating a HIPERFLOOR, a complete concrete surface finishing system, in addition to grinding and coating removal.

PERFECT FOR MANY DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS. Husqvarna floor grinders are very versatile machines. Different applications can be performed with the same machine, simply by changing the diamond tooling.

Grinding older concrete. When the surface of older concrete is ground away, it exposes stronger concrete. This also makes the surface level even and reduces the need for follow-up work.

Removing thick coatings. 5 mm of epoxy, levelling compound, linoleum or plastic matting can be removed with the right tool. These machines can even grind through carpet glue. This makes the floor ready for new floor covering - quickly and easily.

Removing thin coatings. Thin coatings of glue, paint or epoxy can easily be removed by floor grinding. Irregularities present in a liquid levelling compound can be ground to improve adhesion of a new coat on top of the old one. In addition the quantity of primer/ compound needed can be reduced because of the concrete will be the optimised roughness.

Restoration of natural stone floors and terrazzo. Applications are not limited to concrete. With our new Hiperflex pads you can now restore natural stone floors and terrazzo.

METAL BOND DIAMOND TOOLS - REDI LOCK Redi-Lock diamond tools are perfect for concrete grinding applications, such as aggregate exposure, preparation for tiling floors, removal of epoxy coatings and sealers as well as flattening. • Eliminates the need for multiple sets of diamond disc holders • Replaces time consuming screw-on-diamond systems • The dovetail simply locks into the slot and is ready to use • Available for a variety of machine manufacturers.

The Redi Lock™ base plate is integrated to make the locking system very sturdy and safe.

Durable, steel constructed diamond disc holder has a low-profile with recessed locking mechanism. This reduces overall height of tooling, keeping the machine closer to the ground.

Husqvarna offers two series of Redi Lock tools: The G 1400 series offers excellent removal rates and durability, providing maximum profitability and performance with all types of applications. It also covers surface preparation applications in only three steps before using the resin tools in polishing applications. The G 600 range is perfect for smaller jobs and for users not specialised in surface preparation. This range offers a larger application window compared to the more high-performance G 1400 series.

Husqvarna segment shape has more active diamonds than a basic rectangular shape. This means more aggressive grinding. They are pre-sharpened, enabling them to work with 100% efficiency at the start, without the need to dress the tool.

HALF SET VS FULL SET

SINGLE SEGMENT VS DOUBLE SEGMENT

Half Set – Diamonds are placed at three alternating positions (or four on the PG 400) on the diamond holder disc. When using a half set, the diamonds tend to follow the surface of the floor. This puts more weight per square inch on the diamond tooling, making it grind more aggressively on hard floors. It does not completely flatten the floor. Full Set – Diamonds are placed at each of the six positions (or eight on the PG 400) on the diamond holder disc. The full set is used when a flat floor is desired. If the floor has undulations, the machine will grind the high areas and miss the low spots. The result is a smooth surface.

Single Segment – Working with a single segment will increase the pressure on each segment. This will lead to more aggressive and increased productivity; however, the life of the tool will be shorter. Double Segment – Working with a double segment will decrease the pressure on each segment, reducing the wear rate on the diamond segments. This will lead to a smoother scratch pattern, and will also reduce the load on the machine.

Husqvarna Hiperhard™. Hiperhard™ is an additional treatment product in the HIPERFLOOR process. It is a silicate applied to the concrete surface, to react with the calcium hydroxide that already exists in the concrete. A crystalline / glassy structure is formed in the pores of the concrete near the surface, and this is a main contributor to increasing the surface hardness of the concrete. The formation of calcium silicate in the concrete, combined with polishing the concrete with resin-bonded diamonds, significantly hardens the floor and improves the abrasion resistance as well as having a significant impact on the appearance of the final floor. STOP WORRYING ABOUT REPAIR COSTS AND UNPLANNED DOWNTIME Husqvarna UpCare is a service contract that protects your Husqvarna equipment from unforeseen repair expenses, while minimising both the risk and cost of unplanned downtime. Everything is covered by a fixed quarterly fee allowing you to budget in advance. In addition to urgent repairs, UpCare ensures that your machine gets the routine maintenance prescribed in the service plan. This reduces the risk of unplanned downtime in the future and allows you to plan so that you can minimise disruptions in your operations.

THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE UPCARE CONTRACT: ĶĶ Fixed quarterly fee during the contract period ĶĶ Repair within 5 working days including replacement parts and labour ĶĶ Hire of replacement machine at a special rate during the repair time ĶĶ Free loan of replacement equipment if the repair time exceeds 5 days ĶĶ Only Genuine Husqvarna spare parts are used ĶĶ All work performed by Husqvarna certified technicians ĶĶ Preventive maintenance according to the machine’s service plan ĶĶ All oils, filters and other service parts ĶĶ All current software updates ĶĶ Automatic logging of operating time ĶĶ Extended warranty up to 4 years ĶĶ Contract duration 36 or 48 months

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: When you request a quote for new equipment, you also get a contract proposal for UpCare. The contract can be signed exclusively for brand-new Husqvarna equipment.

The UpCare contract is registered with the equipment. You will be charged a fixed quarterly fee which covers all measures in the contract for the entire duration.

If your equipment is experiencing acute operational problems, just contact the nearest Husqvarna Service Centre, who will solve the problem within 5 days.

When youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re approaching the time for preventive maintenance according to the machineâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s service plan, you will receive a booking proposal from your nearest Husqvarna Service Centre.
