WARRANTY STATEMENT 2023
Husqvarna Construction UK (HC) warrants Husqvarna Construction products to the original purchaser to be free from defective material and workmanship from the date of purchase for the ‘Warranty Period’ here stated dependent upon the type of product use. The warranty period for the products listed and is dependent on the manufacturer’s service schedules being adhered to:
Technical warranties cover defects caused by faulty design, material and workmanship, only if:
• The product is used for the purpose for which it is designed.
• The product is installed, operated and maintained according to the instructions issued and published by HC.
Parts required for warranty jobs must be ordered over the normal supply chain. Parts are never delivered from HC “free of charge”.
The product is accepted for warranty repair only if accompanied with a reliable proof of purchase from HC authorised sales channel. This shall include or be accompanied by a filled in warranty card or invoice or receipt from the HC authorised sales channel showing the date of purchase, model number, serial number (if applicable) and the name and address of the point of sale.
ITEMS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY
The following items are not covered by this warranty:
1. Fuel, hydraulic and lubricating oil, grease, anti-freeze, air-filter elements.
2. The replacement of hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders or other major components when the failure could have been economically repaired by the replacement of a seal or seal kit.
3. Hoses, fittings, seals and other parts requiring replacement as the result of normal use or wear.
4. Deterioration of parts such as rubber goods or components affected as result of corrosion, chemical, electrical or other harmful influences.
5. Failure of any attachments not manufactured or supplied by HC.
6. Failures and progressive damage resulting from the use of a non- HC approved part, accessory or consumable.
7. Failures resulting from improper application, operation and maintenance or repair practices.
8. Damage resulting from negligence, accidents or intentional misuse
9. Towing, cranes, hauling, loading and unloading costs.
10. Loss or damage caused by transport carrier.
11. Repairs required as the result of improper handling, storage or protection by third parties or customer.
12. Third party or customers’ poor workmanship.
13. Down time, lost production costs, lost profits or any other consequential damage and costs.
14. Cost of renting or leasing a back-up unit.
15. Transportation expenses for obtaining replacement.
16. Telephone or other communication expenses.
17. Preventative maintenance or operating services, including but not limited to adjustments and inspections.

20. Non- HC engines, as engines are covered under the Engine OEM warranty policy.
21. Consumables which become worn through normal use, including, but not limited to; spark plugs, bulbs, filters, lubricants, brake elements, absorbers (anti vibration elements), membranes, belts, blades, blade flanges, chains, rails, recoil springs, clutches, clutch drum sprockets, starter ropes, cables, wear protection, bearings and shaft seals.
22. Normal wear and tear; for the purpose of this Limited Warranty, “normal wear and tear” means any damage that naturally occurs as a result of normal wear or aging (for example, including but not limited to, abrading, beating, bending, chemical, discoloration, loading, revolving, scratching or scraping).
23. A product that has been put on the market without HC’s consent.
24. A product that has been purchased from a dealer which is not authorised by HC.
25. Defects or damages to a product on which its model and/or serial number has been replaced or is illegible.
26. Ordinary care and maintenance work listed in the Operating Manual.
27. The product not being used for its original purpose or not being assembled, used, serviced, transported or stored in accordance with the instructions in the Operators Manual.
28. Negligent care resulting in entry of water or intense moisture.
29. Improper assembly, set up, pre-delivery service or repair service by anyone other than an authorised HC servicing Partner during the Warranty Period.
30. Usage of other than Genuine HC spare parts, accessories or components according to Operator Manual, or, unsuitable or inferior fuel, oil, abrasives or lubricants, voltage/frequency not within specification of the equipment.
31. Accidents, abuse, misuse, negligence, tampering, alteration, modification, wilful damage or other circumstances that are attributable to the owner or operator.
32. Continued use with worn or defect components.
33. Force Majeure, which includes but is not limited to, acts of governments, acts of nature, fire, explosion, typhoon, flood, earthquake, tide, lightning, war, means any event that is beyond HC reasonable control and cannot be prevented with reasonable care.
Husqvarna Construction assumes no liability for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, losses or expenses or loss of profits, use or data, or, damage to goodwill, reputation or lost business, whether arising directly or indirectly from the purchase, use or sale of the product.
Diesel & four stroke petrol engines fitted to Husqvarna equipment etc, including starters, generators, alternators and accessories, these items are covered by the engine manufacturer’s warranty. All claims for specified engines, starters, generators, alternators and accessories should be sent to the appropriate manufacturer.
Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the consumer. HC UK shall not be liable for any incident or consequential damages for breach of any express or implied warranty on these products except to the extent prohibited by applicable law. Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose on these products is limited in duration to the warranty period as defined in the limited warranty statement. HC reserve the right to change or improve the design of the product without notice and does not assume obligation to update previously manufactured products. Husqvarna shall not be under warranty liability if the total price of the Products has not been paid by the due date for payment.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The customer must exhibit reasonable care, maintenance, operation, storage and general upkeep as written in the maintenance section of the Owner’s/Operator’s manual. Should an operational problem or failure occur the product should not be used but delivered as it is to an authorised HC UK service centre for evaluation. Proof of purchase rests solely with the customer
HUSQVARNA DIAMOND TOOLS
Many Husqvarna dry cutting diamond blades are laser welded, the laser welding process results is a weld that is stronger than both the segment & the steel centre. Husqvarna are so confident with it’s welding process that should a Husqvarna laser welded segment come from the blade whilst in normal use due to a welding failure then HC UK will replace the blade once the blade has been returned to and verified by HC UK.
Claims on all Husqvarna diamond tools will only be considered if the following procedures are followed:
• All suspect products must be returned to HC UK c/w details of the materials cut, meterage cut, details of the machine used and reason for return, proof of purchase date must be provided.
• Claims will only be considered if at least 50% of the height of the diamond segment is remaining. (A completely worn out steel blank does not show us how the segment has been performing)
HUSQVARNA PARTS WARRANTY
HC sold and mounted on a product by a Service Centre or authorised External Service Partner are covered by a warranty period of 3 months under the condition that the part has been subject to normal use and maintenance according to the operator’s manual. The same conditions as to regular warranty will apply, meaning that Spare Part Warranty will only be accepted if the HC Genuine Spare Part is deemed as caused by faulty design, material and workmanship. The mounted spare part must also be the cause of the repair need. If the spare part is broken as a consequential damage, the spare part warranty does not apply.
The warranty will include the cost of the part and labour to remove and replace the component. No other cost will be accepted or reimbursed to the customer.
Replacement parts fitted free of charge to a machine under terms of the warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty.
Chargeable parts fitted within the warranty period will be covered for the remainder of the machines warranty period.
Chargeable parts fitted by an authorised Husqvarna Construction service centre to a machine outside the warranty period will carry a 3-month warranty from the date of fitting.
Spare parts purchased over the counter for fitting by the owner or by an unauthorised repairer which has subsequently failed, are not covered by Husqvarna Construction UK warranty. However, if a customer claims the part has failed due to faulty manufacture, it is the Husqvarna Construction service centres responsibility to determine whether the customers claim is reasonable.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
Time limit for filing out warranty claims, from the day the failure has occurred the machine must be repaired, and the claim submitted within 14 days of the failure. Any claims not submitted within 14 days will be rejected.
If parts were submitted to HC for inspection and the warranty claim is rejected by HC, the parts can be returned to the Authorised Service Partner if the Authorised Service Partner so requests within 4 weeks. If the parts are not requested by the Authorised Service Partner within 4 weeks, they will be disposed/scrapped by HC.
