CASA LH IS A PROJECT SITUATED IN THE CITY OF CASTELLETTO TICINO, ITALY. IT INVOLVES THE REVITALIZATION OF AN ISOLATED FOREST AREA THROUGH DEMOLITION AND THE CREATION OF A COMPLETELY NEW STRUCTURE. THE PROJECT AIMS TO RESTORE THE SITE BY INCORPORATING SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES AND UTILIZING ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIALS. ONE NOTABLE FEATURE OF THE CASA LHP ROJECT IS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A GARDEN ROOF. THIS DESIGN ELEMENT ADDS GREEN SPACE TO THE STRUCTURE, PROMOTING ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY AND BLENDING THE BUILDING HARMONIOUSLY WITH THE NATURAL SURROUNDINGS. CASA FS THE CASA FS PROJECT IS A NEW CONSTRUCTION LOCATED IN THE CITY OF GALBIATE, IN NORTHERN ITALY. IT INVOLVES THE CREATION OF TWO CONNECTED HOUSES DESIGNED FOR A FAMILY AND THEIR DAUGHTER. THE KEY REQUIREMENT OF THE PROJECT IS TO PROVIDE PRIVATE SPACES FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL WHILE ALLOWING THE FLEXIBILITY TO OPEN UP THE SPACES WHEN NEEDED. THE DESIGN CONCEPT OF THE PROJECT FOCUSES ON A MODERN ARCHITECTURAL STYLE. THE HOUSES FEATURE A CONTEMPORARY SHAPE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON CAPTURING THE BREATHTAKING VIEW OF THE NEARBY ALPS MOUNTAINS. THE OPENING TOWARDS THE MOUNTAIN VIEW CREATES A SEAMLESS CONNECTION BETWEEN THE LIVING SPACES AND THE NATURAL SURROUNDINGS, ENHANCING THE OVERALL AESTHETIC APPEAL OF THE DESIGN. NEW YOU MEDICAL CENTER THE "NEW YOU MEDICAL CENTER" IN RIYADH IS A PROJECT IN THE PRIVATE HEALTH SECTOR, SPECIALIZING IN COSMETIC TREATMENTS AND DIVERSE MEDICAL CLINICS. OPENED IN 2016, THE CENTER OFFERS ADVANCED DERMATOLOGY, DENTAL, NUTRITION, AND LABORATORY SERVICES. MOREOVER, IT FEATURES A SPECIALIZED OPERATING AREA DEDICATED TO PLASTIC SURGERY. DURING THE DESIGN PROCESS, WE EMPHASIZED CREATING A WELCOMING AND SOOTHING ENVIRONMENT FOR VISITORS. PATIENT COMFORT AND EASE OF NAVIGATION WERE INTEGRAL ASPECTS OF THE ARCHITECTURAL PLAN. AND ACCOMMODATION OF SIX SCULPTORS, ON GRANTS FOR THE PURPOSE, WHO WILL LIVE IN, WORK, AND DISPLAY THEIR STUDIES.THE SITE LIES IN THE SIERRA OF THE SOUTHERN SPANISH PROVINCE OF ALMERÍA, IN A ROCKY MOUNTAINS RISING HIGH ABOVE VALLEYS AND WHITE VILLAGES OF BREATH TAKING BEAUTY.WE STARTED THE CONCEPT FROM THE EDGES OF THE QUARRIES THAT WERE MADE BY HUMANS, TRYING TO EMPHASIS ON WHAT IS NATURE AND WHAT IS HUMAN MADE. BY CREATING SPACE FOLLOWING THE QUARRIES LINES FROM ONE SIDE WHILE THE OTHER SIDE IS RELATED TO THE VIEW UNDER.

IN A WAR THAT IS CONSUMED WITHIN THE NARROW BOUNDARIES OF SYKES-PICOT AGREEMENT, A WAR FOUGHT AMONGST THE PEOPLE, EXHAUSTING EVERY BIT OF ENERGY OF ITS CITIES LIKE ALEPPO, AN ANCIENT CITY AND ONE OF THE OLDEST CONTINUOUSLY INHABITED CITES IN THE WORLD, THAT HAS BEEN BUILDING UP ITS LAYERS SINCE THE 6TH MILLENNIUM BC. Close to the city Centre and outside of the city walls in to the south, this settlement is an expansion of the original Southern Area 1 Zone. The land was mostly owned by one family and used for growing pistachios, olives and other crops, but as the city expanded the land was sold to developers, some was expropriated by the government for service provision and some is owned by Awqaf. The developers built five to six story apartment blocks with the area closest to the city Centre being better planned, while in the south the streets are very narrow. Some houses remain but most have been replaced by of the buildings are high rise blocks. and street widths are 4-6m.

Located in the north south-west of Aleppo, Ansari Sharqi is very close to one of the\main roads leading into the city. The land was originally privately owned by a small number of families and in agricultural use, though one area was owned by Awqaf and another by the government. The private land was sold to developers who subdivided it into plots, laying out streets that are mostly 6-8m in width, though some are considerably narrower as plot owners have built up to the kerb, without leaving footpath space. The government designed the layout of the main streets in the settlement providing a 12m road width.

STRATEGY THE STRATEGY IS TO CREATE A SYSTEM OF LINE AND POINTS, THE POINTS WILL BE FOCUSED ON CERTAIN EVENTS THAT ACCORD DURING THE WAR AND TOUCHED THE LIVES OF ALL THE INHABITANTS OF THE CITY. WHILE THE LINE WILL RUN THROUGH THE CITY CREATING A UNIFIED ORGANISM THAT AIM TO BETTER PEOPLE’S LIFE THROUGH DIFFERENT TYPES OF INTERVENTIONS.

PROJECT- CONCEPT GARDEN CONCEPT
THE PROJECT PROMOTES THE RENAISSANCE OF ALEPPO, RECONNECTING THE TWO PARTS OF THE CITY THAT WERE SEPARATED. THE GATE INSTEAD OF BEING CHECKPOINT, NOW IS A GATE OF MEMORY, AND IN ORDER TO BE PART OF EVERYDAY LIFE, IT HOSTS OFF-CAMPUS ART MASTERCLASS FOR MEMORY AND CRAFT. SO, I SET UP AN AREA THAT’S IS IMPORTANT AS MEMORY WITH ACTIVITIES OF GOODS TRANSACTION OF GOODS, MARKET, MEMORIAL AND ACADEMY. THE PROJECT INSISTS OF 2 PARTS: FIRST, THE OPEN SPACE WITH A GARDEN THAT HAS SOME WALKING AND SHADED AREAS THAT WERE INSPIRED BY THE OLD CITY VOIDS. THE GARDEN IS ALSO PRODUCTIVE, IN A WAY THAT THE FRUITS AND VEGETABLE THAT WERE PRODUCED IN THE PAST, NOW ARE BEING SOLD OR COOKED IN THE MARKET. THE SECOND PART IS THE STREET THAT WAS THE ONLY PATH AND SERVED AS INFORMAL MARKET, NOW ORGANIZED TO HAVE THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME KIOSKS AND TRANSFORMED INTO A PEDESTRIAN STREET. CONCEPT

THE STUDIO WORKED ON A CASCINA LOCATED NEAR GORGONZOLA, IN ORDER TO DEVELOP A RESTORATION PROJECT. WE ANALYSED THE BUILDING THROUGH HISTORICAL SURVEY, PHOTOGRAPHIC SURVEY, GEOMETRIC SURVEY,RECOGNITION OF MATERIALS AND PATHOLOGIES AND SURVEY OF THE CRACK PATTERN AND DAMAGE MECHANISMS. THE REUSE DESIGN OF A HISTORICAL COMPLEX IS A CRITICAL ACTIVITY WHICH NEED TO TAKE IN DUE ACCOUNT THE MOST DEEP KNOWLEDGE OF THE EXISTING ASSET, AS WELL AS TO PROMOTE BEAUTY, IDENTITY AND MEMORY ISSUES AS ESSENTIAL DIMENSIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL AND THE COLLECTIVE WELL-BEING. DURING THE PROJECT, WE WERE ENCOURAGED TO BRING OUT THE POTENTIAL OF THE EXISTING COMPLEX, PROMOTING FUNCTIONS WHICH WERE NOT ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH THE TENDER REQUIREMENTS BUT ALSO ORIENTED TO QUALITY, SO TO CREATE PHYSICAL AND RELATIONAL SPACES SUITABLY HOSPITABLE AND WELCOMING.

TYPES OF MATERIAL DAMAGE
THE PROJECT BUILDING 2 WAS A FORMER STABLE, WHICH IS LOCATED OUTSIDE THE MAIN BUILDING OF CASCINA PAGNANA. ALTHOUGH THE BUILDING ITSELF IS NOT ARCHITECTURALLY UNIQUE, WE IDENTIFIED THE SPECIAL SPATIAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN DIFFERENT BUILDINGS AND SPACES.
(II) PLACES: THE FORMER STABLE, THE FARMLANDS AND PUBLIC SPACES. VARIOUS FACADES HAVE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS: PUBLICLY VISIBLE ON THE WEST, TRANSCENT AND QUIET WITH VEGETATION ON THE EAST, PARTLY HIDDEN BY TREE ON THE SOUTH. WE AIM TO EXPRESS THESE DIFFERENCES EXPLICITLY ON OUR DESIGN, WHICH ALLOWS PEOPLE TO APPRECIATE THE SPATIAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE STABLE THAT THE NEIGHBOURING MAN-MADE BUILDINGS AND AGRICULTURAL LAND. YET, TO MAINTAIN THE “AGE VALUE” OF THE BUILDING, WE AGREED THAT THE MATERIALS ON THE FACADES AND ROOF STRUCTURE OF THE BUILDING ARE THE MOST ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS TO BE PRESERVED.

THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A HOSTEL AND CAMPING AREA FOR YOUNG PEOPLE, AND INSTEAD OF THE CURRENT ENCLOSING SITUATION OF THE CASCINA, WE TRIED TO INVOLVE THE SURROUNDINGS IN ORDER TO CREATE AN OPEN ENVIRONMENT. WE KEPT THE BUILDING AS IT IS WITH ADDITION OF GLASS VOLUME THAT SERVED AS VERTICAL TRANSITION, TRYING TO TAKE IN CONSIDERATION ALL THE SEASON OF THE YEAR BY HAVING THOSE CIRCULATION IN VOLUMES.
