I'm currently a 4th year student at the German Jordanian University studying Architecture and Built Environment . During my studies, I awoke special interest in housing designs and building designs, what made me to go further, investigating more about development of new constructions designs, and tools in order to facilitate and enable the technological advancement of the design and building performance, which reflected in my academic designs. This interest was also a result of my thesis, where I designed many complexes and office buildings . During my academic journey, I went to TU-Dresden in 2013 to take a German language course and I came back to Jordan to continue my Architecture study ,but what I noticed the architecture in Dresden it is very incredible and how they design based on the historical movement there, That is why I really want to discover the architecture in all Germany and how the differences between the architectural design techniques and how the technology affects the architecture and design movements . When I came back to Jordan I started to study about the building construction process and design, that was my reason why I love Architecture, because when I design, I’m not designing for myself , I design for people, they will live in my spaces, not me! Furthermore, I strongly believe that my qualifications, the combination of the skills described above, my motivation to acquire deep knowledge and expertise in architecture, and my interest in for designing new methods will benefit and enrich the program. Fellow students and professors. Thank you for considering my application, I am looking forward to enter the program. Yours faithfully, Hussein Al-Telawy.

Concept:

This is a closed compound, and The main idea is how to Arrange the buildings and to Create the biggest possible Courtyard in the middle of the Project. The arrangement of the Buildings is based on the " u " Shaped, because the "u" shape Allows to create a main Courtyard and closed from 3 sides. The idea of the design is to Create a new experience for The users in the living space and away from the typical House floors considering the privacy, using the method of split levels in each unit. Each zone in the unit has different Levels; because i believe the zoning in the units would had an interesting experience for the users in moving through different levels.

The site has 17-21% slope, which helped to make the split level technique. Charles correa - kanchanjunga Apartments was the main inspiration for this project, it shows how charles correa designed leveled floors in every single apartment.

The Site Has 44-49% Slop, Which Was The Challenge To Design The Suitable And Comfortable circulation between the buildings and the courtyards.

This is another housing project, but this one is different, because the planning is based on the theories of modernity. Going back to the heroes of modenity, Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier and Adolf Loos. These architects broke the box shape and improved the idea of the open plan, which are the main elements of this project. Each size units has a different planning, but the entire project has the same architectural language. The "U" shape was the perfect Solution to arrange the buildings, because it gives the biggest courtyard area and privacy that can serve the users of this closed complex. The commercial part is on the main street and the medium-size units are on the top of it, and there are no connection between them. Each unit in the project has a different view to the main two courtyards.

Historic Amman Stairs Redesign Project.

Third Year Projects.

This project was how to apply one of the contemporary architecture genres on a existing historical project in Amman. This is one of the historical stairs in Amman, it connects between two main zones in the city, unfortunately it was turned in to dump and the people are rejecting it, no one use it, Everybody says : "its too high and we can't use is in the summer". This Project Was How To Understand The Meaning Of "Environmental Architecture", And How It Can Be Applied on this project so this project could be returned to its public use. * The pergolas were the best solution for the sun ray, because the stairs were on the south elevation which has the most sun exposure. * At the first part i put some small kiosks so the people could get some benefits. * To change the main stairs experience, some concrete benches were put on the sides, so the circulation would be nonliner (zigzag).

THIRD YEAR PROJECTS.

PROGRAM

This is an office building project, the function is: bank headquarters. The site is located in one of the most dynamic economic regions in Amman, jordan. The site is located on the gate of this economic area. Next to the site there is a high rise buildin (as a site existing), as a result of this high dynamic area, especially at the gate of it, The forms of buildings are getting more dynamic. The concept of this project was affected by the site, so the form is being broken into four masses (2 high rise and 2 low rise) and a pathway between them, contrary the opposite project (1 big high rise and 1 big low rise). Each 2 buildings (1 low rise and 1 high rise), has a bridge that connects between them from each floor. Design statement : The separation of the masses through an indoor pathway while keeping them connected.

PAGE 16

Office Building Design.

THIRD YEAR PROJECTS.

- In general, the design is an open floor plan for offices. - Each floor has a balcony and a head office. - At level 5 the connection of the bridges is between the 4 buildings, the function is meeting rooms for the bank staff members.

The cores of the buildings only exist in the high rise part, So if the user wants to go the low rise building, he must go to the high rise and then he uses the bridge to go to his destination. This all part of the experience. But all the low rise buildings has an emergency stairs.

The main idea is to make the user and the Employees get the perfect experience through each space they use. The choice of the colors is to get the perfect contrast and to make it brighter; because the white color and its derivatives make the atmosphere more clear and perfect for users concentration; because the its a bank and bank needs clear atmosphere.

Area : 2750m2 Built up area : 1000 m2 Program: 2 villas + swimming pool + landscaping. This is a special project, because all drawings was ready and made by Autodesk' AutoCAD. So, in this project all drawings must be converted to Autodesk' Revit architecture, to test the ability to produce fully annotated plans (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical plans) by Autodesk' Revit Architecture and the ability to produce a fully detailed 3D Rendered model.

Public Landscape Architectural Design. Area : 5710 M2 Location: Downtown Amman

"Experiencing the styles of landscape" The location of the site was the main issue in this project, It is located in downtown Amman, It is in the center of the city were all kind of people gather, Also many shops and markets are around the site, so the issue here is how to collect all kind of people to this park (Project). The main concept is to divide the site into 3 main parts, Each part has its own style of landscape, in this case people will divide them self into these parts and everyone will head to the part that he likes. Each part is isolated by a group of trees, and the transmission between parts is very simple.

OTHER WORKS.

This project was a part of an Apartment building, and there is an outdoor Corridor that leads to the Apartments. The Project was to design vertical louvers and away from the traditional fixed louvers, that can serve the users blocking the direct sun light. So the idea is to design vertical Mechanical louvers that moves by an engine that can be moved within the sun light direction through different times of the day. light. In this case the mechanical louvers follow the sun light to get more sun light.

South Sun, Angle 45 Many problems were facing, what are the best angles to apply it, so the louvers can get the maximum sun exposure. Many proposals were applied (angle 45,90 and 135). But each proposal had its own weakness. The best solution was on this way: in the morning the louvers are fixed on angle 45 and moving to angle 90 at the evening.
