Adjustments

• Ensure the machine is as level as possible, then operate the lever to start feeding out. • Start feeding and travelling at the same time. On an older bale the material to come off thicker quicker. Simply stop/start the chains to minimize this. • When feeding in an open field drive slightly to the right. This helps to see the material feeding onto the ground. Select a higher gear to achieve a thinner feed out line if required.

Auto Latch

• When disconnecting the mainframe from the three-point linkage unit simply lower the bale feeder onto the ground and the auto latch will unlatch. • It is very important to know when lowering the feeder onto or off a transport truck/trailer the mainframe will unlatch if the safety strap has been removed. This strap must be removed BEFORE connecting the feeder to a tractor/telehandler.

Feed Chain

Check the feed chain tension regularly. Tighten if necessary, by adjusting the 4 tensioners. With no bale in the cradle, simply loosen the top tensioner bolt (shown below) slide tensioner down to take up the chain slack, then tighten bolt. It is best to tension the chairs with a bale in the chamber.
