10 Ease Of Access To Feed For All Animals
Animals need ready access to feed if they are to achieve optimum milk production and target live-weight gains.
With a chain or chainless balefeeder, you know that all animals can access the nutrition they need because feed is distributed in windrows. A hay unroller also makes feed easily accessible, but animals have a tendency to lie down on it – blocking access to others and compressing the feed to make it less palatable. A ring feeder limits the number of animals that can feed at any one time, which means there’s always a risk of runts and animals low in the pecking order missing out.

Russel Porter Kinistino, Saskatchewan. “I love this Hustler TX205. When you’re in weather like this these young calves can all eat. This is the way to feed hay in my opinion.”
