Always replace discs when below 16Inches in diameter. Otherwise you will see earlier wear on the seed boot.

Check seals in meter housing for correct alignment and condition. Clean out tank pressurisation port to ensure adequate tank pressure.

H&P agitators can be fitted to the seed bin to help with bridging issues in Oats, Barley etc.

Adding tuning rings increases meter speed in low rates for more consistent product flow. Allow at least 150mm of product above meter.

Check and replace drive shaft bushing regularly to prevent air leaks and damage to meter housing.

RETROFIT KITS FOR 90 SERIES OPENERS The ProSeries Opener offers agronomic advantages and extended wear life compared to the current 90 Series openers. The retrofit kits include: Seed boot - A narrower, tighter fit to the disc results in less soil throw for better seed-to-soil contact and extended wear life. Press wheel - Narrower and more flexible press wheel improves overall seed-to-soil contact for more even emergence, plus upgraded double-row ball bearing extends service life. Serrated closing wheel - Improved closing system when seeding in harder, drier conditions. The notches on the wheel break up the drier soil for better germination. Seed tab - Improved material for longer wear life, angled and more flexibility in the seed trench results in less seed bounce for more consistent seed placement. Closing spring - Easier adjustments. S T R A P SEEDING METERS, ROLLERS, AND TUNING RINGS FOR JOHN DEERE AIR SEEDERS Use the low meter roller for seeds such as flax, canola, and alfalfa. The medium roller is best when planting wheat, barley, canola, and small soybeans up to 1/4 inch in diameter and with medium rates of fertilizer. The high rate roller is for high rates of fertilizer and large soybeans bigger than 1/4 inch in diameter. The very high rate roller is best used when planting barley and oats with beards, large seeds such as chickpeas, and with very high fertilizer rates. Fine tuning rings reduce the amount of product available to meter for increased accuracy.
