C500 MOWER CONDITIONER

5 METER WIDTH

The C500 is designed to meet the needs of operators and producers who cover a large number of acres in a season.

5% WEIGHT RED

The C500 increases productivity by allowing customers to harvest more crop while the conditions are favourable. With a 5 metre cutting width, the C500 can cut 10% more acres per day than the C450 The C500 has an undershot cross auger that improves crop flow and provides optimal performance windrow formation. It lifts crop that has been blown down for a clean cut and reduces recuts by bringing the crop together and preventing it from stalling on the cutterbar. The windrow width can be customised with large forming shields. It can spread the crop wide to maximize exposure, making sure Crop quality is conserved for higher feed value. Sharp knives are important for harvesting and leaving a clean-cut field on a MoCo. With the John Deere quickchange knife (QCK) method, changing dull or bent knives is no longer a time-consuming job. Quick-change knives allow you to replace knives in a fraction of the time. The QCK reduces the time it takes to change knives by more than half as compared to the bolted method. The patented concept cutterbar from John Deere is made up of individual, diagonally cut modules, making serviceability a breeze. Each cutterbar module can be removed for service while the remaining cutterbar modules remain attached to the frame. Nodular iron modules are highly resistant to impact damage and the large, heavy-duty idler gears reduce driveline speed and wear Shear hub protection minimises cost and decreases repair time in the field. Each cutting disk is fastened to a shearhub (driver) on the splined pinion gear which reduces damage to the cutterbar and driveline components and increases uptime with limited disassembly required. Gauge shoes provide accurate control of cut height and protect the cutterbar. The gauge shoe setting determines the height of the crop stubble but also prevents the majority of the cutterbar from being in constant contact with abrasive soils and rocks. The low-profile cutterbar allows the operator to cut at a flatter angle for improved cut quality and reduced wear on components. The Common oil bath keeps internal components lubricated and reduces oil-level checkpoints

That means less time needed to cure, maintaining optimum feed values, and preventing leaf loss in legumes. Hay and forage producers have a wide variety of crops and conditions. Conditioning reduces the time required for dry down. Faster dry down can increase nutrients retained in harvested crops. It is suitable for traditional dry hay or haylage operations. John Deere mower-conditioners offer four different conditioners. Multiple conditioner options match a wide variety of crop types. The conditioner types include: o Impeller – ideal for light-stemmed grasses and alfalfa that respond well to scuffing of the stems o Urethane – a soft roll that provides excellent performance in legumes and grasses o V10 steel – increased crimping for faster dry down and improved wear life o Tri-Lobe™ conditioner – a premium, patented roll system that uses a chevron design to crimp and crush
