Check for worn seals on meter cartridges, worn seals can cause lower pressure and disrupt product flow.

Running too high down force puts extra wear on gauge wheels & discs. Only run enough pressure to keep rockshaft level.

Missing or broken seed boot springs can cause product to leak from the seed boot. Ensure there is good contact on disc.

GREATER ACCURACY: The John Deere StarFire™ 6000 Receiver is an enhanced replacement for the StarFire™ 3000 Receiver and expands on the value that precision agriculture growers have come to expect from StarFire™ products. The StarFire™ 6000 Receiver implements an improved antenna, the latest in Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signal processing technology, and a differential correction signal. SEEDING PARTS METERS, ROLLERS, AND TUNING RINGS FOR JOHN DEERE AIR SEEDERS Use the low meter roller for seeds such as flax, canola, and alfalfa. The medium roller is best when planting wheat, barley, canola, and small soybeans up to 1/4 inch in diameter and with medium rates of fertilizer. The high rate roller is for high rates of fertilizer and large soybeans bigger than 1/4 inch in diameter. The very high rate roller is best used when planting barley and oats with beards, large seeds such as chickpeas, and with very high fertilizer rates. Fine tuning rings reduce the amount of product available to meter for increased accuracy.
