5 x 3000mm 1. PREPARATION OF BACKGROUND Make sure the background is dry and rigid. Any wallpaper, whitewash, paint, distemper or loose decorations should be removed. Brush over the surface to remove any remaining loose particles and dust.
2. PREPARING AND FIXING OF GTEC COVE 120 STEP 1 Using a chalk line strike guidelines on ceiling and wall to the correct projection and depth. 84mm for GTEC Cove 120
STEP 2 Using a fine-toothed saw cut all the pieces of cove to length and mitre to fit the corners of the room. The mitres can be cut using a mitre block or template. Templates are available from Siniat Literatureline or www.siniat.co.uk Note: It is best practice to fit the longest lengths first and work in one direction around the room. If the room has a chimney breast start on the face of the chimney and work in one direction around the room.
STEP 3 Mix the GTEC Cove Adhesive as per instructions on the bag. Apply the adhesive to the back of the cove along its full length on the surfaces that meet wall and ceiling.
STEP 4 Fit the lengths of cove into position, carefully lining up joints and intersections.
STEP 5 Clean off surplus adhesive with filling knife and smooth using a sponge. Using GTEC Cove Adhesive fill any gaps between the cove and the wall or ceiling. Make good all internal and external junctions.
