Overview • Unlock is a paired-skills academic skills course. • Designed to teach students the academic English skills they need to succeed in their studies. • 6 levels - including new Level 5 & Unlock Basic Skills and Basic Literacy. • Inspiring video to introduce topics and promote discussion.
Methodology • Unlock provides learners with building blocks, for effectively developing Critical Thinking skills • Critical thinking sections give students tools for formulating opinions and expressing ideas effectively in academic tasks • Unique research from the Cambridge Corpus: language is up-to-date and relevant
Methodology • Units provide a scaffolded approach to developing either reading and writing skills or listening and speaking skills. • Students are enabled to successfully complete a writing or speaking task, using all the language and skills they have learnt in each unit.
