Once the heat is turned on for the winter it will not be turned off until spring. Air conditioning~~There is no air conditioning in any of the residence halls or small houses. All other spaces will be turned on starting the Monday after Commencement. B&G will not install any personal AC units unless we have received permission from Res Ed. Please note: Due to the type of heating in the buildings, opening your windows will make the heat continue to run making your room warmer. Contact B&G if your room is too cold or warm.
Regulating your Heat Depending on the building you are in, you have one of two controls to regulate your heat. Once you set your control remember, it takes the radiators some time to react depending on the system in the building and the size of the room. That is why it is usually best to leave the controller on one setting to maintain an even temperature in the room. The settings for the two controllers are
* Remember, these settings are guidelines. The actual temperature will vary depending on the building and room configuration. Also, be sure clothes, bedding, and any other material do not cover the radiator. This will negatively affect the temperature of the room.

The selector switch is located on the lower level portion of the thermostat. Turn the fan selector switch to AUTO. The selector switch is located on the lower right portion of the thermostat.
