Office project is develpoed from the Filter as a strategy to interfaces and spaces, aesthetics and functionality in response to environmental factors, specific to site and program. In this project, the office of Sonos company contain showroom connected by communal staircase. Design objectivity in this project mainly focus on the idea of filtering through sense impression with practical function. Understanding of the multi-faceted systems - from building construction to environmental and furniture - impacting the design of the office space in response to the needs for varying degrees of flexibility, privacy, and manifold interactions in the contemporary workspace. Analyzing the symbol of Wifi and Sonos Logo, design took the idea of symmetry with both vertical and horizontal axis into the design concept.
5
Keeping the layout simple and putting the gathering area at the center of space which works as axis of the site. People can go to their workplace through the staircase at the center of the space, which exploits as filter since it divides two different function of area.
FILTER STUDY: AIR · LIGHT · SOUND
The design concept is ‘Interacting through Filter’ in office. Air filter with charcoal drives me to design communal area in the center of the space and it also filtering people by spreading them into their position. Also, each space has particular filtering system depends on private/ semi-private/ public area. Thus, the space is designed by focusing on the relationship between materials/ filters and programs so that one space can interact with surrounded space.

Office Design should be considered the atmosphere of workspace and circulation for the workers. Communal space should be well designed in order to people gathering but individual space or private space is also neccessary since people spend almost day in the office.

Existing Structure Condition Since the building has trapezoid-like form, the existing beam structures are not meets perpendicular. In order to cover and put track system on the ceiling, the design require the dropped down ceiling finish for the mbongi space.
S U S TA I N A B I L I T Y Natural Day Light
The facade is facing on the South direction, so there are enough amount of sunlight goinh through the interior space. However, the back side of the interior space needs artificial lights even in the North side of mbongi space.
Public/Privacy zoning
The space can be divided onto public and private space in general; however, since the mbongi space has to be multi-function space, it should be controlled to be open and close area.

Circulation
The openings of each room allows people to go through and it also affects on the circulation in terms of the paths. Visitors can explore the space by passing and entering these parts. Also, a column inside of the Mbongi space can also create circulation.

Form + Penetration The Mbongi space is attached to certain programs; Classrooms, Studios, and Open from the reception area. Design should be considered about the adjacencies. Also, some parts can be open directly to the Mbongi space, or closed to the space depend on how structure creates circulation.
Design Option The design focused on the creation of boundary and circulation as divide the space into several purposed; stage, meeting in large and small group and enclosed for acoustic issue. Moreover, the design has curved shape to incoorperate with the egg shape of mbongi space.
HYEYOUNG SO 15
Design RCP The curved partitions are movable along to the tracks on the ceiling to make the space flexible. At the center of the space, there are four skylights, which intend four different direction of the earth; South, North, East, and West. The meaning of four direction is intended gathering people all together into the space wherever the visitors came from.

The end result should look like this. Unbent modules flow towards the ground naturally while the fully bent modules are wired to the top to expose lights into the interior space.
Connected modules with metal wire in adjustment to your height and body movements. Attach fishing wire to suspend the room from the ceiling.
Sophomore First Year students from INT-202 participated in a project called “The Smallest Room. The premise was for the students to determine what conditions were important in making an inhabitant comfortable through studies in ergonomics mapping how the human body occupied small spaces such as bathrooms, changing rooms, telephone booths. The students were asked to consider what the minimum spatial requirements would be, and to invent a program for the space. The material used is recycled offset printing plates that were donated by SandyAlexander a local printer and one of the projects used wool felt recycled from a previous 4th year studio! They were supposed to be as efficient with material as possible, and were very successful.

The Live and Work space is placed at the center of the Gallery so that it creates boundary from the public space to the private space. Inside of the Gallery space, the interior design is composed by moving partitions to make space more flexible. The adjustable moving partition can control the privacy and boundaries by paying attention to the issue of inhabitation. The degree of the privacy can be handled by using the sliding partitions. Also, the outside wall of the residential space can still e used as an exhibition walls by allowing gallery and dwelling space at the same time without changing or adjusting archive wall every time.
