While designing the residence in cold region , the placement of windows and balconies played an important role as the windows helps in heat gain (essential in cold regions ) , natural light and providing views.
DESIGN CRITERIA The balconies helped in achieving desired view. The residence had to be designed for bigger family so keeping that in mind the placement of rooms was important i.e. niether to close nor to distant from each other and same goes for size of the rooms. Swimming pool in the garden area makes connection with the nature. Well these were some of the points kept in mind while designing this house.

The main factors i kept in mind while designing primary school were 1) As it was for small children the washrooms need to be closer 2) They needed courtyard were they can play and it also helps in providing natural light and ventillation. run and can fall down. 4) Auditorium has been provided for functions and has been given a

5) There is large playground which consists of various sports activities such as cricket football basketball badminton and a swimming pool. 6)A school is a symbol of the community, in built form; functionally it should be extended and promoted as a place of community assembly.

According to thestudy of climate, si te and the sun movement, planning of the jam fac tory sta rted. First came the admin area and entry for workers i.e . the primary entrance and the secondary entrance.
GROUND FLOOR PLAN The primary entrace had to be pla ced such that it came in the fron t, keeping in mind the distance of a labourer from the parking area . Primary section included the offices and cash counters for daily wages.

CANTEEN
In the secondary area we have to be strict in terms of sanitisation i.e. no germs from outside could go inside so placement of changing room and sanitisation room was crucial and only after that a person could enter the plant

While designing the hall the idea of lotus which is symbol of peace came to my mind . Then it was converted into inverted lotus which can be seen from the birds view and sense of that can be felt from the elevation. Open sitting area plus water bodies are provided for micro climate. It is a central core building that means the load is taken by the inner columns.
there is only open sitting and micro climate area and the some display area and small cafe. On the only display area with and the petals made of stainless steel.

HAVELI Repositories of great architectural wealth, our old havelis or mansions are some of the lesser known heritage treasures that have been passed d own through generations.
SITE This old haveli, built in the 19th century, is situated in village located in Sangrur District, in Punjab.
Village Bagarian, Punjab.
It welcomes one with its huge open courtyard, giving foreground for facades decorated with red sandstones brackets and chajja2 , floating stairs and corridor on stone brackets , lamp niches , segmental and foliated arch openings and antique door-windows spanned by arches.
The House of Bagrian owned much of the land and the haveli in the village, where certain important artifacts that belonged to the Sikh Gurus are kept
The structure is built with thick walls in brick and lime masonry supporting the barrel vault roof. Architectural features like huge spaces, with high ceiling, ventilators near the ceiling in each room/space keep the place cool even in peak summers.
The british royal retreat was built in 1905 after the british took over the district. This was also know as the garden house located near the fort ,the garden house was the guest house for the stay of british viceroyal or local british governors ,the building to stay ‘quarter guard’, for britishers.
