MOST

Good ideas begin and result in multidisciplinary, re-research and collaborative design process. My goal in this process is to help shape the built environment better by creating preserving the aesthetic and functional archi tecture, communicating good ideas and developing rational policy. I will continue to work, learn and improve myself to do my best on this goal.

Over the past 4 years of working as a Junior Architect in chennai, I have gained experience executing designs from concept to detail stages, solving complexities. I have worked in few respected architectural and design companies from which I had an active role to manage potential projects and with three years experience in various projects involving commercial, institutional, residential and industrial buildings. I consider myself an organ ised person, fast and independent learner. I am adaptive to various tasks given both individually and in groups. I believe I’m a reliable and ambitious person, who is quite attentive to details. I’m constantly curious which helps to open myself for new knowledge.

My name is Hyma, This portfolio showcases a selection of projects that I have worked on throughout my aca demic experience, professional practice, as well as personal works that are related to design. I think architec ture, research and design are powerful tools to make the world a better place. I believe in the importance of diversifying my experiences by trying not to stay stable in life and that all diversity will help me become a more talented, thoughtful and versatile designer. In the school of architecture, I developed skills in designing; I can work with all major applications and acquire impeccable technical and software skills.

This firm provides professional services in the field of Master Planning, Ar chitecture and Interior Designing. In which I got to get involved in variety of projects like Commercial, Townships, Residential Units, Private Bungalows and institutional. Designed presentations, document templates, print materi als, and in-house deliverables with collaborator for international clients. My role also entailed troubleshooting multiple issues and suggesting solutions to problems, and to study and recommend design solutions for various projects

WAREHOUSE IN COIMBATORE Warehouse in Coimbatore is used for storage, and office space purposes. This is about 250060 Sqft in total area with mezza nine area for office space within the warehouse. Parking docking provided for 32 trucks with three ramps and fire exits for every 45 m as per standards.

WAREHOUSE IN HOSUR Warehouse in hosur was the first industrial project worked on, in which I got to witness project from its conception and its de velopment. I got the chance to develop one of the three ware houses, produced working draw ings for all three. This warehouse is used for storage, office space and warehouse purposes.

FACTORY AND WAREHOUSE

This is a 30 Acre site with re quirement of Factory and a warehouse with all necessary and service buildings. Facto ry is about 339090 Sqft in total area with light offices within the factory area and heavy office space of G+1 for admin, recre ational and working space.

Industrial projects were major projects in my last firm. They were lot of type and different scale of warehouse and factories designed ranging from 2 Acres to 40 Acres. Within these industrial space, service buildings, Main entrance with security cabins, drivers resting rooms and watch towers are also designed. Mainly these structures are built of pre-engineered buildings, steel structures with truss and metal roofs with ventilators. Production of design proposal documents, including research and concept diagrams, technical drawings and perspective renderings. Drafted various design drawings and made subsequent adjustment based on feedbacks.

PRESENTATION MODELS AND DRAWINGS 2018 - 2021

Warehouses were divided into three separate entities with their own supportive buildings. With the common entrance and of the site with common roads with in the site. A slight variation of slope from the entry to the end of the site with common buildings. Mezzanine area for office space within the warehouse. Docking space provided for 32 trucks with three ramps and 45 m. Warehouse is provide with 15 percent ventilation with the long slits on the roofs within the sheets..

I have experience in designing Interiors for a whole villa, foy er space, gathering space and secondary living space, Av room, pooja rooms and also designing and detailing personalized fur niture and joinery details. Other than deigning, I have selected furniture and lights as per need.

I worked on the apartment in teriors, furniture selections and wardrobe designs and draw ings. Not only designs, I have also worked on RCP, flooring plans, finishes layout, structural draw ings, services drawings, electri cals and joinery details as well.

Another Residential works which involved landscape designs are entrance design, external balco nies and the intermediate terrac es where sit outs, in built furniture and garden is also in play. This wall for landscape faces the dining room of a residence.

Not only residential projects, I have worked on landscape designs, Interior de signs, furniture detailing and construction drawings. Projects ranging from small 800 Sqft apartment buildings to 15000 Sqft residential buildings. Projects and works involved are namely, Mr. Sudhakar residence – in which I worked on the apartment interiors, furniture selections and wardrobe designs and draw ings. Not only designs, I have also worked on RCP, flooring plans, finishes lay out, structural drawings, services drawings, electricals and joinery details as well.

Entrance design for residence in adyar, this is a 5ft wide and long space leads to the residence main en trance. One side has the residence with full height glass and the other the compound wall. On the other. Compound wall side with a motif on wall and a buddha statue in falling water as back drop.

Canteen design for major com pany, this is both internal and ex ternal dining space. With kitchen space, all the necessary utilities, breakfast counter and capacity of 50 pax. I also did drawings and detailing with material and flooring selection.

Toyoto reconnent is another such commercial project in which I got to wok on all meeting rooms of different sizes and requirements. There were two 5 person meet ing rooms and two 6 person meeting rooms and one 12 per son meeting rooms.

Designing office interiors involved finishes layout, flooring layout, furniture selection and RCP. These offices are simple and straight forward designs which were only differed by area and user requirements. Produced working drawings and presenta tion modules for this project.

29 Other such commercial project is the 800 Sqft workspace with common hub and open meeting space. Telepod and telebooth as private cubicles have also worked on RCP, flooring plans, finishes layout, structural drawings, services drawings, electricals and finishes drawings as well. This common centre of the floor space, with a swing and furniture for leisure facing exposed brick work. All the furniture are store brought and few are customised

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN

Residential elevations and interi ors are few projects I freelance meanwhile perusing by B arch. Residential and interiors, draw ing for basic and simple designs were the first few projects I have worked on. Construction draw ings for such projects, presenta tion for meetings and represen tation models.

In this bedroom design, I worked on the interiors, flooring selec tion, bathroom fixtures and van ity cabin, selections of materials. Wardrobe design and dealings for dressing room and selection of light fixtures. are customized accordingly. to adept.

INSTITUTIONAL WORKS

Was part of a design team which determine requirements, articulate user needs, and trans late those needs into concepts and elegant designs. My role also entailed troubleshooting multiple issues and suggesting solutions to problems, and to analye them.

Collage works started with basic design, a simple residence, hospital design, insti tute, and thesis. My objective of my thesis is to familiarize with designs on slopes. And to study a different type of buildings structures on sloped sites. My selec tion of site depended on the potentiality to generate and to bring about imme diate socio-economic benefit from small investment. During my internship period, I got to work on few commercial and institutional projects. I got to witness a gov ernment institute – Pudhukottai agricultural college and Agricultural college in Thanjavur. As an intern, I got to witness and to experience design approach firsthand. This is when my Architectural knowledge grew and I got know live projects.

ACADEMIC AND INTERSHIP WORKS

There are four types of cottages: premium, deluxe, family and suites. Premium and deluxe are 60 Sqm. These are designed single sloped roof. Materials used are bamboo and thatch for roof and walls are plastered with mud. All the rooms are the view. Interiors are full of in-built furniture and local materials to give users tribal house feel. Main endeavour of this form urban chaos and to quench the theist for mental space to relax. 34 designed with two rooms under are oriented towards valley for this resort to create an escape multifunctional space.

I have experience in designing Interiors for a whole villa, foyer space, gathering space and secondary living space, Av room, pooja rooms and also designing and detailing personalized furniture and joinery details.

This is one of the bedrooms in which I worked on entire set of the project from its initial to the construction.

BEDROOM INTERIORS

This bedroom required a full set of customized furniture. Starting with the four-post bed to the TV set. Bed side wall is given a texture wall matching the mood of the room with circular ornamental wall art centered to the bed. Foot bench and the private space with the bedroom with inbuilt book self are matched to the bedroom.

BEDROOM INTERIORS

This includes - Under the stair case, Loft, TV units, study spcae, dressing, bedside units, baywin dow furniture puja space and Headboard. These type of fur niture is entirely based on the client’s requiremensts, site mea surements and features that can be included. These furniture are made with 18mm MFC boards.

WARDROBE DESIGN

Hinged wardrobe, sliding, Linear glass, linear wood, linear walk - in wardrobe are the types of wardrobes we design. With this we aslo design wardrobes with study space, wardrobes with dressing space.

Kitchen, utility, Bar and crocery units are done with maximum detailing. Kitchen styles I designed are handless kitchen and Kitchen with handles. Color combination and materials combination will either be unicolor or contrast.

KITCHEN AND UTILITY DESIGN

Main focus is on Furnitiure. Wardrobes, bespoke units of all kind and kitchen design. Inspired Elements manufacture these funitures themeselves in order to do that de signers should provide detailed drawings. There are few projects in which I did com plete home design starting with porch unit, kitchen and utility, crocery units, under the staicase storage, bar, all the bedrooms with wardrobes, TV units, study spcae, dressing and Headboard. Alond with this we would also have Loft space to design.
