Located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Ames is a full-service agency, noted for their high level of illustration and keen eye for design. With extensive experience in the snowboard and music industry, Ames has emerged as a proven authority on youth culture branding. They have had a great deal of success connecting companies and their products to the elusive youth audience. This shows in their history partnering with snowboard companies like K2 and Ride Snowboards, creating cuttingedge graphics each and every season. Ames applies a progressive approach to developing the visual identity of rock bands through unique and award-winning custom CD packaging and merchandise. Most notably, creating up to 100 limited edition event posters a year for numerous indie rock bands as well as rock giants like Pearl Jam, Phish, John Mayer and Linkin Park.

Born and raised of fine Central Oregon stock, artist Adam Haynes defines his vision of the world through the language of his surroundings—the vivid geography of the Cascade Range and the off-kilter character of its rural inhabitants. He has paid the bills as a commercial illustrator for such clients as Nike 6.0, ESPN, Fuel TV, Timberland Boot Co., Tonka, Quiksilver, Adidas, Mervin Mfg., and local beermaker Deschutes Brewery. However, Haynes refreshes his creative coffee cup several times a year with solo art shows at galleries up and down the West Coast. In 2000, Haynes graduated and split West to Portland, Oregon, where he landed a graphics gig at local footwear giant Adidas. To relieve the stress of corporate design life, Adam began painting, using his experience in screen printing and computer-based vector drawings to develop a unique layering style. “Building graphics gave me an appreciation for building up depth and space through layers of color—no blending allowed,” he says.

Crossover construction is the product of countless hours of designing and testing boards that could withstand the punishment of the cable park. The all new Low Pro Plate system takes much of what we learned from the System binding and incorporates it into a more traditional design. We began by reducing the overall volume by nearly 16%, which translates into a much lighter boot. Our drop-through footbed keeps a rider closer to the deck for maximum control and response. To ensure the baseless design did not produce unwanted plate twist we connected the sidewalls of the chassis creating a stronger foundation.
