GROWTH

The City of Otsego’s population is now 19,966 according to the 2020 US Census, which is a 47 percent increase from the 2010 count. Otsego is the 14th fastest growing city in the state during that time and is now the largest city in Wright County. The City continues to focus efforts on expanding commercial and industrial developments, as they provide employment opportunities, provide service options to the community and diversify the City’s tax base.

PARKS

Otsego’s developing system of parks and open spaces includes 14 parks within 173 acres of greenspace. The City also hosts many other amenities like a County park, two DNR wildlife management areas, and two State water trails, the Mississippi River and Crow River. Prairie Park and the Prairie Center serve as the hub of recreation programming and facilities, located in the central part of the City. The City continues to grow its parks, recreation, and trails in line with its developing neighborhoods in order to serve the residents now and into the future

TRAILS

Otsego continues to prioritize its trails system. Boasting just over 42 miles of trails, residents are able to traverse a majority of the City on the paved system. To further improve the City’s trail system, the City received a grant to aid the City in adding directional and informational signage throughout the trail system.

RECREATION
