ABOUT THE EDITORS Helen Bound Dr. Helen Bound is Principal Researcher at the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), Singapore. She heads the Centre for Work and Learning (CWL). Prior to commencing with IAL in 2009, Helen was a lecturer and researcher with the University of Tasmania coordinating the online programme, Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education. Helen has worked for Tasmanian Technical and Further Education Institute, run her own training and development business, been a National Industry Training Officer for the Trade Union Training Authority, worked as a training and workplace change officer for Tasmanian unions, and taught in secondary schools. Her PhD is from University of Tasmania on institutional collaboration, learning and context. Her research interests and publications include non-permanent workers, their learning and identity, professional learning, work and workplaces as learning environments, e-learning, competency based training (CBT), curriculum, and generic skills.

Peter Rushbrook Associate Professor Peter Rushbrook is Deputy Head, Learning and Teaching, in the School of Education at RMIT University, Australia and a former Senior Research Fellow at IAL. He is an experienced adult educator, researcher, and consultant, and has a wide range of publications in the field. His research interests include workplace learning, adult learning curriculum and assessment approaches, adult and vocational education policy analysis, and the history of Australian adult and vocational education. He has a PhD from Monash University, Australia, on the development of the Victorian and Australian Technical and Further Education (TAFE) sector.
