Packaging Design
Fika is a swedish word that translates as
"Taking a break for coffee and a bite to eat", But it means more than that, it's a moment
to relax to catch up with your family and laugh with your friends.

Assembly
Inspired by the Swedish term “Fika”. I decided in translating the aroma and warmth of coffee using a grainy black wood color and a warm leather seat. I really took time in making sure the side of this chair looked up to par with its front, and I celebrated this by using its silhouette in the cover of the packaging. In the inside I included a short excerpt explaining the meaning of “fika”. This design can be easily put up in 7 steps that the user is guided through by the visuals presented in the box.

Leaf Leaf brings to life that otherwise wasted space behind your sink. From the Foliage collection, Leaf was inspired by the sprouting of nature in a hot summers day. These small plants bend to the comfort of your cups. Each strand sprouts in different widths and directions accommodating the various of sizes. With its fast drying time and customizable parts Leaf will make sure the tranquility of nature stays close to your home.

Pebble Pebble is a dish rack like no other. From the Foliage collection, Pebble was inspired by the rocks along side the flows of rivers. Its scented pebbles work together to keep your dishes sturdy in place but its aroma will calm your day into a new one. Pebble has no defined rack structure, the same way nature has no borders. Place your dishes to your hearts content. Its wooden border extends to fit any sink while also framing the beauty that lies between.

2016 Summer Q Design for Berco Inc
Berco Project
27
During my summer internship with QDesign I had the opportunity to design stools for Berco and their upcoming line, Platform. The design for these had to be simple in form, low in production cost, durable, but most important, able to aesthetically complement the booth/bar combinations for Platform.
These stools are currently being developed and will be in production for the end of 2017.

BAUHAUS FURNITURE

The inspiration for this side project came after noticing a revival of Bauhaus during the summer of 2016. With plenty of designers exploring minimalism, the basic forms of cone, sphere and cube of the Bauhaus came to a new light when mixed in with contemporary elements.
