Produce a set of promotional materials for an exhibition at the Design Museum (London) celebrating 350 years since the first printed bank note in Europe.

20-30 year olds with an interest in design culture and older, working professionals, probably with a bit of expendable income.

The Design Museum is one of the world’s leading museums of contemporary design and culture. Banknote designs are individually intricate, using special printing techniques and security features.

- A series of five large printed promotional banners. - Banknote size tickets for entry to the exhibition. - A short book with a brief history and visuals of European banknote design. - Printed postcards for the Design Museum shop.

Although not a live brief, it is treated as so with ‘live’ restrictions. The Design Museum’s typeface, Schulbuch, without underline and italic, and use of their logo is required.

The usual attendance of the Design Museum, plus the attraction of tourists and visitors, especially European. The tone of voice is Informative professional and engaging.

The materials reflect this; tickets will be used for entry to the exhibition, large elongated banners for promotion and to be hung in the museums.

- Proposed huge-scale version of the banners for use in museum atriums.

Postcards

Banners here are elongated, with a proposed length that would stretch the entire height of the atrium in each of the cultural venues.

Each poster is also reproduced in a different language relevant to each of the other countries the Kreditivsedlar exhibition is being shown in, including Swiss, Swedish, German and French.

A short book is available to buy from the museum shops. The book contains a brief history of European banknote design and visual elements from the exhibition itself.

Also available in the shop, are postcards of the guillochĂŠ designs found on the banners, complete with print processes and finishes.

As shown, banners will be both a repeat of the smaller, wall-mounted banners, and designs that utilise the ticket and foil strip designs.
