CEO'S welcome
Welcome to the second edition of Campus.

same opportunity to attend interstate awards ceremonies as I did last year
At the Foundation, we recognize the importance of building connections, especially for those of you who are soon to embark on your careers after university. We intend for this event to afford many of you the opportunity to meet other passionate, driven and community-minded individuals. I am looking forward to meeting our impressive alumni, as well as welcoming new scholars to the GAF community, and having the chance to speak to them in person about their achievements and aspirations.
I hope you enjoy reading about some of our inspiring scholars and fellows in this issue of Campus. You can also visit us on Facebook or Instagram, where you can keep up to date with what other members of the GAF community are doing. Thank you to those of you who have sent through photos and updates for us to share.
I wish you all a great year ahead.

Last year, Declan completed his undergraduate studies in biotechnology and medical research.
He took the time to tell us about his plans for future study, which include a research project focusing on the treatment of cystic fibrosis, and reflected on the importance of supporting young Australians from regional and rural areas in their educational pursuits.
