As 2022 winds down, I would also like to recognise and congratulate all our grantees who continue to progress in their respective artistic fields and have achieved new career milestones throughout the past year
With 2023 and my departure as Chief Executive Officer ofThe Ian Potter Cultural Trust and The Ian Potter Foundation fast approaching, I can't help but reflect on all that has transpired during the past seven years. From business-as-usual grant-making and seeing
the incredible works resulting from the IPMIC Program to the profound impacts of Covid-19 and the current implementation of The Ian Potter Cultural Trust Evaluation recommendations.
It has been a privilege to be a part of the Cultural Trust team and work alongside my colleagues, the Board of Trustees, and arts professionals who are passionate and dedicated to championing the development and excellence ofAustralian artists.
As I prepare my handover to the incoming Chief Executive Officer, it is clear that the Trustees continued consideration of the Evaluation recommendations will likely herald new initiatives to supportAustralian artists, representing an exciting time to step into this fantastic role.
Next year marks 30 years since the Cultural Trust's first grants were approved, and I look forward to following how the Trust supports more artists in the coming years.
With a mix of sadness and excitement for the future, for the last time as CEO of this wonderful charitable trust, I wish you a safe and restorative festive holiday season, wherever you are and however you celebrate.

New grantees
Congratulations to the 25 emerging artists awarded Cultural Trust grants in the final funding round of 2022.
In the latest round, 25 emerging artists were awarded $214,463 in grants. Our new grantees will travel to 14 countries to undertake professional development in their respective disciplines, including design, film directing, and dramaturgy

Raechyl French
Happy holidays! Office closure
Raechyl French is a New Zealand-born, Australian-raised voice and text coach based in Sydney.Through teaching at NIDAand private coaching, Raechyl supports others in cultivating a greater understanding of vocal expression and a dynamic range of vocal abilities.
Supported by a Cultural Trust grant, Raechyl will undertake the Lessac Kinesensics Intensive, a three-week voice workshop, at the University of Pretoria, SouthAfrica.
The Ian Potter Cultural Trust office will be closed from 23 December 2022 to 9 January 2023.
The staff of the Cultural Trust wish all grantees and the community a safe and happy festive season.
