Lively Leopard for the Season

Incorporated in interior design for ages, we like to think of leopard as a neutral! Most commonly used in black and brown tones, the wildly chic motif is also offered in a vast array of color palettes, enabling you to introduce it into just about any aesthetic.

Here are a few ways we love to use leopard: 1) Add a pop of pattern with leopard ottomans in a family room. 2) Use wall-to-wall leopard carpet in a den or media room.

3) Wallpaper an accent wall in a room or an entire bathroom in a leopard-print wall covering.

4) Bring a neutral room to life with a leopard area rug. 5) Liven up a sofa with a pair of leopard pillows. 6) Use artwork with a leopard motif as a jumping off point for a room’s design.

FUN FACT!

French designer, Madeleine Castaing (1894-1992), well known for her use of leopard, popularized the pattern as wall-to-wall carpeting in the 1940’s. Not only a fan of its appearance, she also often expressed her fondness for the pattern’s ability to conceal muddy footprints.
