Location: Makadi Height, Hurghada Egypt | Area: 200,000 sqm
Masterplanning - Architectual Design-Coordination Concept Diagram
Innovation Design Studio was commesioned to design Makadi Heights’ Downtown district.
Spread over 200,000 SQM to serve as the core of the community and brings together various components in an integrated fashion. The area is envisioned as a bustling center with strong cultural presence and mixed use activities, combining leisure and entertainment together.
Moved by this vision, we took to design a very vibrant masterplan, with various experience and innovative approaches to achieve that goal and aim further to position the downtown not only as a commercial center but also as a land mark and distination.
1- Deciding on the design’s main components , their location and connecting them with spines.
3-Developing the mixed use fuctions around the spines.
2- Reforming the Axial spine to connect the main entrance with the main components visually and phyically.
4- Introducing different experiences along the spiral axe, starting from the central park into the ubran.
6-Extending the central park to integrate it with the central plaza and introcude a green commercial spine.

2d Conceptual Deisgn - coordination
Innovation Design Studio was commesioned to design the Ark’s Business district, part of which is set to be one of the largest new mixed-use developments in New Cairo.
Spread over 11 buildings, featuring a variety of offices spaces and experiences, with various rich views, Fusing modern functionality with a streamlined design that considers the outdoors aspect of the workday, Integrating between functionality and aesthetics, with flourishing piazzas sit on the ground level of The Business District, boasting a commercial area featuring high-end retail spaces, world-class dining experiences as well as recreational venues.
Defining Landplot, setbacks
Diving each mass into 3 to 4 masses to allow for easier phasing
Protruding the full BUA, in 2 masses with a central spine
Fragment the masses even more to allow for a flexbile master plan, allow for side paths into the main spine, and adhere to client’s requirements.
Introducing the motion concept to the buildings to allow for:
1- A dynamic feeling along the 90 Rd to promote the project, maximize the views on the main st, as well as creating a layring effect.
2- Creating a see through effect to the heart of the project.
Capitalzing on the see throught effect by changing the masses proportions to allow for a wecloming entrances and even better vision on the bustling piazzas, as well as maximizing the 90rd views.
Extended the motion to rest of the buildings, to allow for continous, Visually connected piazzas with different Retail and F&B experiences.
Introducing double height commercial podiums that overlook the commercial piazzas, and further increase the BUA by depressing the piazzas levels to gain an extra commercial level.

Innovation Design Studio was commesioned to design the Ark’s Rediential complext, part of which is set to be one of the largest new ubran developments in New Cairo.
Over 300,000 Residential BUA, with various residential solutions and approaches, this zone is envisioned as a self-contained residential multiple family offering with a unique social park providing differentiated lifestyle and lavish features/services amidst the residential neighborhood, while maintaining the connection to the whole project.

Project was initially designd by the famous architect Michael Graves, yet we were comissioned to resdesign it to accommodate the developer’s requirements, and the market changes (on plan ,facade design, masterplan levels)
the complex consists of 4 buildings, 3 different types, and a shared pool. Delivering a variety of premium serviced apartments, and high end penthouses.

The tower stands out elegantly through the city’s skyline at the downtown district as the epitome of futurism & development.
Starting with a welcoming commercial base that activates the plaza , the building is gracefully staggered upwards into quieter and calmer office spaces with green terraces.
Streamlined paths leading users into the project which blend elegantly with the louvers that encompass the building into unique comfortable, transparent spaces. Thus, the tower welcomes it’s users into a lively plaza, into a hub of diversity, overlooking different views through different lenses, and allowing for unique diverse experiences.

The Mixed use Strip mall/ Office buidling is located at 6th Of October city serving as the service building for Diar 2 compound, which is developed by Taamer developments.
It consists of a mixture of F&B outlets, as well as a wide range of retail, Offices & clinics spaces, a supermarket, all over looking a spacious plaza and a clubhouse with its own private plaza. The Building had a few challanging constrains which were working around compound walls in ministral decree, Allow for public use without violating compound’s privacy, accomodating a club house without being accessed directly by external visitors.

Building is designed under the provision of future modifvvication to compound walls upon negotiation with authorities, focusing main entrances on main plazas, with temporary enrtance and exit from land edges. All F&B spaces, Retail terraces, & the majority of Offices & Clinics are overlooking a very active and a welcoming spacious plaza, while enjoying the main street view. all that while maintaining clubhouse’s private entrances and plazas which are completely separate than public ones.

building consists of 3 floors each devided equally to 2 parts, one serves as offices for Hyde Park management, and the other is a rentable area, sold as a 2 storey gym and a clinics floor, while the ground floor is entirely renteds to Seoudi Markets.

Stands as one of El Araby Group’s largest showroom complexes in New Aswan City, as well as containing El Araby’s showroom, it’s hosting a group of local distributers as well, providing a variety of spaces for home appliances and electronics showrooms, a super maarket, a pharmacy, and a mosque, in addition to serving as a maintainance center for Electronics.
The Project was intended to provide an image, a visual identity for al Araby group, and work as a prototype for their upcoming buildings in Egypt.

Thesis project of my class was about Energizing Architecture, it is the kind of architecture that has a stimulative influence on its witnesses, those witnesses may be people, natural environment,built environment, or even non-physical witnesses like economy,culture and beliefs.
Any architecture that would boost development, increase productivity, enhance environment, or even restore physical well-being is considered Energizing Architecture.
My Project would Energize People through
-Creating an Entrance on the intersection of the two main streets along the land, while burrying the middle part of the building to allow connection with the garden

“Reviving” the “Festival Garden” that was once there, a new Interpretation of the Contemporary Life in the essence of the Old Glory Days. The Project would be a blend of the “Formal & Informal” where Formal festivals take place together with the informal performance Arts that are always taking place.
- The building is burried under the ground with its start and end tips only above the ground, to allow for connectivity between garden sides.
-Parabolic section to give more clear height on the sides and reduce the loads from the soil
-Opening skylight slits for natural ventillation
- Adding the wings to allow wider spaces
- Focusing more on the directionof Al Azbakeya by enlarging the end of the grand theater.

We were challanged to design a serpentine like Pavillion deriving the concept from nature, or even the most bizzare objects around us.
As a cat person, I was always fascinated with how cats always fall standingon their feet, and from that point, the idea sparked.
Be Tracking a slow motion video of a falling cat, tracing her body axis, given the cat being stable at these specific moment, and is only moving under gravity, and abstracting her motion, resulted in the following figures.
