ADMISSIONS CHECKLIST

EDUCATION IS THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS BEGINNING A CAREER IN BEAUTY AND WELLNESS. Learn from experienced instructors in our in-depth programs built to provide a strong foundation for your future. If you’re excited about the prospect of training at one of our Institute of Beauty and Wellness campuses, which are accredited Aveda Beauty Schools, follow the next steps outlined below:

 ATTEND A CAMPUS TOUR

 COMPLETE ADMISSIONS INTERVIEW

 SUBMIT ADMISSIONS APPLICATION

(includes $50 fee, $100 for transfer students)

 SUBMIT ONE (1) OFFICIAL PROOF OF EDUCATION

 COMPLETE ENTRANCE ASSESSMENT

(if applicable)

 PROVIDE PROOF OF AGE

 COMPLETE FAFSA AND/OR AGREE TO ESTIMATED PAYMENT CONTRACT

 APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

 SCHEDULE ENROLLMENT

( Applicants will receive written notice of their acceptance status. Upon acceptance, an applicant will be asked to sign an enrollment contract. The applicant is not enrolled, and a spot is not held in the program until the Admissions Office receives the signed contract. Placement into the program is on a first-come basis)

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS:

 Students must meet a minimum of 80% in their academic grades.

 Students must meet a minimum of 90% in their attendance. All students are expected to be in attendance from the starting date to the ending date as specified in the student contract.

 Students must arrive on time, preferably 10 minutes early.

 Student must be engaged and participate in all clinic and classroom activities.

 The Institute upholds a no-tipping policy for student service providers. If guests wish to contribute money to the student's education, The Institute has established an Education Fund to enhance your basic training program with advanced guest speakers, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops. The Education Fund is a lifetime benefit.

 Cosmetology: Inform admissions if you are left-handed or cut left-handed. Please be aware Day 3 of class, students will be participating in shampoo workshops and should plan to both provide and receive a shampoo service.

 Esthiology: Students are required to participate in mandatory waxing workshops. You will need to grow out your hair. Please inform your instructor if you have sensitive skin or are on any medications that make your skin sensitive to waxing/extractions.

PROFESSIONALISM & CONDUCT:

 Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. Respect the rights of all others, and refrain from gossip or inappropriate language.

 All students must maintain a processional appearace and follow the school’s all black dress code.

 Abstain from the use of alcohol and controlled substances (including THC products) prior to, and during school hours.

 Be responsible for daily cleaning/sanitation duties, which may include laundry and other.

 Please be aware in the State of Wisconsin, students who have acquired a felony or misconduct charges may be denied licensure regardless of completion of program.
