Careers return from The Sims and The Sims 2, jobs can be found by the computer and the newspaper. The current career tracks are:

Did you know you can play ghosts via opportunities at the science lab!
Life Stages return from The Sims 2, there are currently 7 life stages: Baby, Toddlers, Child, Teen, Young Adult (appeared in TS2: University), Adult and Elders. After that you’ll die and be a ghost, you cannot play ghosts unless you get an opportunity (view Did You Know on right).
Relationships
Relationships have been added to The Sims 3 from The Sims 2! The Sims 2 Relationships (friends, best friends, BFFs and crush, love, going steady, married and engaged). The Sims 3 removes engaged and replace fiancé and adds a new relationship: Girlfriend/Boyfriend.

The Sims 3 Store is where you buy extra store content for money. Items such as clothing, ovens and mirrors will be available! You can buy Sims Store content with Sim Points. When you purchase The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 World Adventures, you’ll get 1000 Sim points ($10) (For each game copy). To get more, you can buy Sim points from a Credit Card or in a game store such as Walmart or GameStop (USA) and in EB Games (AUS).
