Trading terms Conditions of sale
Wherever possible we manufacture our products from long-lasting, highly durable galvanised steel, which is (where stated) powder-coated in high grade polyester to give years of maintenance-free use. Products that are manufactured from standard grade steel for outdoor use are, wherever possible, hot-dipped galvanised after fabrication. These products can also be powder-coated or painted if desired to suit your needs.
Design and planning Grand Slam liaise with engineers, architects and builders to ensure the proper selection of equipment. Grand Slam also offer our professional services to design the most cost-effective and efficient sporting equipment for your facility. When architectural drawings are supplied, Grand Slam can provide a computer design service, setting out in detail, court layouts, fixing points and correct positioning of equipment.
Installation and service Grand Slam equipment can be installed by qualified personnel, but we recommend that our experienced fitters either oversee or install our equipment to ensure that the correct operation and safety standards are met. Our installation service is available across Australia and overseas.

The Purchaser agrees that the title in the goods will remain with Grand Slam Sports Equipment until payment in full for the goods has been received. Provided that payment shall not be deemed to be made until any cheque in payment has been duly honoured. The parties agree that should payment for these goods not be made on the due date for payment, Grand Slam Sports Equipment may, without notice, enter any premises where the goods may be held, by force if necessary, with such means as may be necessary, and remove all of the goods of Grand Slam Sports Equipment in respect of which title has not passed to the Purchaser, and may take such action as is necessary to gain access to the premises for the purposes of removing such goods. Such action is hereby authorised by the Purchaser.

Supergal/Allgal Supergal/Allgal is a cold-formed product made from highly durable pre-galvanised steel strip. An adjustable upright made from 40mm x 2mm SHS slides over a 35mm x 2mm SHS internal upright. A locking knob holds the adjustable slide at the nominated playing height. T-base is made from 50mm x 6mm FMS and is gusseted to the main upright by 12mm RMS. A locking device under the T-base locks into a keyhole floor plate. Urethane pads on the T-base protect floors from damage.
Upright is fixed to weighted base by a diagonal brace (base does not protrude onto playing area). Post is set at 1550mm. The net cord passes over a grooved cap and is fixed by a jamming cleat on the other side of the post. The cord on the tie post is also fixed by a jamming cleat. Urethane pads protect floor from damage.

All of Grand Slam’s indoor and outdoor basketball systems comply to all Australian and international standards, are Australian designed and made, and are engineer certified.
Grand Slam basketball systems have been load tested to withstand 250,000 cycles of up and down movement — with a 240kg weight attached to the backboard when load testing!
Grand Slam’s armour-plate glass backboards are unique, as all line marking is heat-etched onto the backboard — giving a lifetime finish.
All indoor models are made from galvanised steel then powder-coated in-house for a durable, long-lasting finish. Grand Slam’s professional, trained installers use fully load-rated turnbuckles, dee-shackles and pulley blocks when installing their quality products.
All ceiling mounted basketball systems are fully adjustable. This allows them to be set at the exact playing height required.
This symbol signifies that the product is supplied in kit form for transportation. All components and fixings are included in the kit.
Backboards are also fully adjustable for exact vertical alignment when setting up.
Grand Slam recommend installation by qualified Grand Slam personnel.

Indoor basketball support beams All indoor basketball systems require support beams which should be considered during the design phase. Beams can be fitted to run parallel to the face of the backboard (‘Beam’ system) or perpendicular the face of the backboard (‘Rail’ system).
The following Reference guide: Indoor basketball support beams applies to all indoor basketball systems including: BB1003, BB1004, BB1005 Stadia system, BB1006 Stadia system, BB1010, BB1020, BB1022 and BB1024. All of these systems are engineer certified.
Please consult Grand Slam for technical information regarding recommended basketball beam sizes and placement. Grand Slam can also design and install the appropriate support beams if required.
Basketball support beams are also engineer certified and, if supplied and installed by Grand Slam, an engineer certificate will be issued on completion of the project.

Backboard is made from highly durable exterior grade formply and is plasticcoated with four coats of all weather industrial satin-finish oil-based paint. This backboard is extremely strong and will give years of use with minimal maintenance. Ideal for both outdoor and indoor applications. Boards are supplied undrilled unless ordered with a Grand Slam basketball system.

Glass backboards are commonly used instead of timber backboards at venues where spectators are positioned behind playing areas. This model features full size 12mm thick armour-plate glass supported by a 50mm x 50mm SHS frame. Glass is siliconed directly to frame and is cushioned from bottom frame support with closed cell foam. Corner aluminium supports screwed to the main frame act as extra security and hold the glass snugly in place. Outer frame is powder-coated white. Grand Slam’s unique heat-curing method bakes lines on permanently, so there is no need to ever replace lines. Glass is also cut out around the ring area to avoid contact and possible breakage. Heavy duty steel ring bracket support. Supplied with model BB827 Super durable stadium springloaded ring.

Grand Slam Cricket net system Fixed cricket practice nets take up large areas, which cannot be used for other sporting activities. Grand Slam’s cricket net system is designed to store away when not in use — making practice areas available for other activities. Grand Slam’s Cricket net system is the perfect solution when short of space.
Multiple pitches can be set up side by side. Nets are easily slid back to the stored position or removed completely by loosening the tensioning device and rolling up the net and cable together. Ground sleeves are supplied to make posts removeable, which makes it easy to remove the total system, opening up the area for other activities. Caps are supplied to cover exposed holes when posts are removed.
Back and side nets are quickly bound together with vinyl pockets and eyelet clips stitched to the nets. Nets are banded all around with black PVC edging and have galvanised rings installed in top and bottom at 400mm centres. Nets can be slid along cabling with minimal effort. This new model is designed to reduce the risk of injury due to its unique spring-loaded, snap-lock, net height adjusting system, which automatically engages at the required preset height. Posts can be set at four heights: 2430mm, 2350mm, 2240mm and 2150mm. When posts are being used in a combination configuration, each net height may be adjusted independently for various age and gender groups. All models are constructed from light weight heavy duty materials designed to meet international standards. Main uprights are made from 50mm x 100mm SHS. A rail system is fitted between brackets to allow both forward and reverse movement of the winching trolley. Nylon rollers are fitted to each bracket; 3mm diameter braided polyester rope is threaded from base of curtain through netting over each pulley and back to trolley system. Rail system supports trolley which raises and lowers the curtain. Trolley system has a special safety jamming

Netting is manufactured from 50mm square x 1.6mm diameter white nylon sports mesh fixed at top to a 21mm diameter pipe with vertical ropes connected to each support bracket to hold the top of the net evenly. The bottom of the sports mesh is attached to a two metre high section of heavy duty ‘rip stop’ vinyl. The bottom of the vinyl has a 34mm diameter pipe stitched in to hold the net evenly on the floor when the curtain system is in the down position. Supporting beams or fixing points must be very strong to take the weight of this curtain system. The total weight of the curtain is approximately 9kg per lineal metre — including tracking system. Note: Winches must be ordered separately. All vertical lift net curtain systems can also be supplied without vinyl if required. (See CDC4 in Price list.)

Note: Floors must be very strong to support tensioned posts (e.g. volleyball). It is advisable to use this sleeve system in conjunction with model IS130 or IS140.

Galvanised steel pipe 250mm long x 62mm ID with 145mm diameter flange with six counter sunk holes welded to the face of the pipe. Centre stem acts as a safety device, eliminating the danger of open holes, and can be removed for cleaning. Suits most 60mm OD posts (except netball).

Combination of AC100 access cover plate and IS120 x 62mm ID sleeve. Sleeve and cover plate are cast flush with the top of the concrete floor. The cover plate has one flush side and one inverted side (which may be filled with synthetic compound to match floor if desired). Suits most 60mm OD posts (except netball).

This powerful compact winch is ideal for swing away basketball systems and vertical lift curtains: 0.55kw/240v; 300kg lifting capacity. Motor operates gear reduction unit. Sensor controls operate movement of structure to exacting requirements. All electric switch gear and wiring included. Drum holds approximately 30m of 6mm cable. Key can be removed from control box when not in use. Winch comes in a solid powder-coated steel box and only requires a 240v x 10 amp power outlet for operation.
