Program Spotlights: Immigration Program, Ghana Project, and Multimedia Course The Scripps Howard Immigration Training Program starts on Monday. Eleven US journalists will be here for a week-long training on how to cover immigration through digital media. The Unilever-Ghana project starts on Monday. Kofi Akordor, the visiting journalist, will be with us Monday and Tuesday. The Multimedia Course in English and Spanish is progressing well with 23 participants.The course ends July 25.

Mark and his wife Catherine had fun celebrating the Fourth of July with their son, Luke. He’s already 4 months old and weighs 14 pounds!

Where Is...?

PATRICK and JERRI are off next week to Kampala, Uganda to meet with ICFJ’s African Knight Fellows. Patrick leaves July 16 and returns 2 weeks later. Jerri leaves July 15 and returns August 4. MARIO will be on vacation from July 8 to 16. He’ll be taking Anna on her first flight to see her grandparents. He’ll also be wrapping up the Austria program July 19. SHARON will be at the beach Monday. JOYCE will be back from NY July 19. BASSAM will be back from Turkey July 20.

Alyson Wright, a former Program Intern, will be working with us for a week (starting yesterday) on the Ghana project. She is sitting in Rob's office if you want to say hello!
