CONQUERING THE OCEANS LY 650 - THE WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE LEXUS
TWO YEARS AFTER LEXUS announced its entrance into the yacht-making market, the Japanese luxury automaker’s first ever production yacht went on sale in late October 2019. Starting at US$ 3.7 million, with a fully-optioned model offered for US$4.85 million, the sixty-five feet long LY 650 has a gorgeously flowing carbon fiber exterior that takes its coupe-like profile from two of the carmaker’s most stylish cars, the LS sedan and LC coupé.

The LY650 is being built in collaboration with specialist boat maker Marquis Yachts at their facilities in Wisconsin, US. One of the leading Italian nautical design studios, Nuvolari Lenard, has also been involved with the design process.
Finished here in an optional two-tone finish that amplifies its sleek styling, the LY 650 has one of the widest beams in its class at 5.76m. Propulsion comes from a pair of marine-spec Volvo Penta IPS 12.8-liter engines that can produce up to 1,350 horsepower each.
From bow to stern, the LY 650 is the embodiment of L-finesse design and a study in Omotenashi - the Japanese art of anticipating guests’ needs. The exterior with the strong, pronounced bow is balanced by the elegant, curved accents of the deck. The distinctly Lexus roofline flows smoothly to the rising hips of the aft, giving the yacht a distinguished style.
The interior design is all about curved, flowing lines. Three luxury staterooms with more than two meters of headroom and ensuite facilities open onto an entertainment space that readily accommodates up to 15 guests. Thoughtful amenities and an inspired layout combine to redefine the notion of “luxury cruise”.
The yacht boasts a large upper salon with captain’s chairs and integrated sofas. There is an optional Mark Levinson surround sound audio systems, air conditioning, bespoke furnishings, real wood trim and a fully equipped aft galley.
