The school believes that successful learning can be achieved through fun and positive experience that’s why they have developed their own unique approach to teaching and learning. Their approach is designed around the needs of learners with an autism spectrum disorder. They have a team of experienced professionals/teachers who create caring, safe, and fun environment for every child where they can find their purpose in life. At Eagle House school every pupil is valued as an individual. This school encourages its children to communicate with confidence and participate in group communication. The school also promotes effective and supportive relationships with parents and carers. “All of our learning and work skills coaches are trained to a Level 3 NVQ and receive additional autismspecific training throughout the academic year. Each learner has a specific learning & work skills coach key worker who they can turn to if they have any anxieties or concerns. They ensure that the learners are fully supported on site at the 6th Form Centre; when they travel to college (if required); and within the college setting itself. Our learning & work skills coach knows when to step in with support and when to step out and this is what ensures that learners continue to build up their confidence and further develop their independence on a daily basis” says Julia Pithouse, the Chief Executive at Eagle House Group. Eagle House Group is one of the leading independent special schools that supports and educates children and young people with Asperger Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other social and communication difficulties. This school has three learning centres, Primary School (4 to 11 years), Secondary School (11 to 16 years), and Sixth Form for 16 to 19 year old learners.
