HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I’m feeling all the optimism of this new year, and I am so excited about being in this hot spot of the country for building, design, real estate and retail. We are on fire, and there are so many extraordinary projects coming out of the ground this year, and all this growth is just in time for the biggest time of the year in Scottsdale, made only bigger by The Valley of the Sun hosting the Super Bowl this month.

Prior to that, Barrett-Jackson Car Auction and the WM Phoenix Open saw record-breaking crowds that only added to the amplified population during the first few months of the year around here. (We just released our “Ultimate Guide to a Good Time in AZ” to share all the ICONIC people, places and things to do for visitors. You can see it, too, at iconiclife.com or grab your copy on newsstands.)

The experts are predicting more population growth in the Valley for the next five years, and some of those new residents—who may have just experienced Scottsdale/ Paradise Valley for the first time by traveling here—will have the opportunity to feast their eyes on real estate unlike anything ever offered before.

In Silverleaf, one of the most prestigious communities in the state, friends at Drewett Works, Ownby Design and G.S. Fries Construction have joined forces to design and build two extraordinary estates that boast the highest listing prices for specs to date— one represented by Mike Sweeney at Silverleaf Realty, and one represented by Allan MacDonald at Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty—both north of $30 million.

In that same community, Silverleaf Realty has launched the next phase of ICON at Silverleaf, an uber-luxury, high-rise condo community that is pure luxury. In fact, living at ICON is the setting for this month’s cover with the ICONIC views of the McDowell Mountains at Tom’s Thumb at sunset—pure magic.

Throughout the pages of this magazine, you’ll find the best of the best when it comes to luxury living in Arizona. The top architects, designers and builders are changing the landscape of our community with the amenity-filled, glamorous communities, developed by our clients, from Camelot Homes to Cullum Homes to RePlay Destinations in its next phase at Ascent at The Phoenician, to the leading realtors representing these properties.

I share all of this because one of the biggest industries for Paradise Valley and Scottsdale is luxury homebuilding and real estate, and the enormous village that development supports and plays into our booming local economy, including all of us at ICONIC LIFE

On that note, Net Zero ICONIC Home launches this month with our grand reveal in this issue, surrounded by themed sustainability content throughout this issue. You can tour the home virtually by going to iconiclife.com.

With the highs we are seeing, I predict a blue sky ahead. And THAT’S the way to start a new year.

With Gratitude,
