Summer Beach Party ‘til 1am, then finished the ‘evening’ with cocktails in the Shangri-La’s famous Horizons Bar overlooking a stunning Sydney Harbour! Needless to say, this event took a considerable amount of time and effort to organise. I’d like to personally thank all those at Head Office, their team of willing workers, and the fantastic companies and individuals who donated either their time or one of a sensational list of auction items, to make it all happen.

Denise Friedman, OAM Congratulations to long-time WIRES member Denise Friedman who was awarded an OAM in this year’s Queen’s Birthday List of Honours. Denise has been a WIRES carer with the New England Branch for over 14 years. She “works� fulltime for WIRES, and is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Her contribution has been HUGE, and this recognition at the highest level is certainly well deserved. On behalf of everyone at WIRES Denise, thank you for your incredible commitment to the animals we all love, and congratulations on receiving this wonderful honour.
