WHAT
Spreaker is an audio platform that allows anyone to create, broadcast and share a personal live podcast across the Internet in a simple and accessible way. Spreaker offers a set of tools which include a web-‐ based mixing console, a music & sound effects library and the ability to broadcast live audio through a widget which can be embedded across websites, social networks and blogs.
Students can create their own educational radiostation

STEP 1: go to www.spreaker.com you will come on this page. Click on ‘create acount’ in the toolbar on the top of the page.
STEP 2: This page will appear. You have to fill in your personal details in the white spaces or you can choose to sign up with facebook, twitter or google. If you’re done click on sign up.

1: BROADCAST. Step1: go to www.spreaker.com and log in. The page below appears and you’ve to click on the orange button ‘broadcast’.
Step2: The page below will appear. Now you’ve to choose an episode name, a category and you’ve the possibillity to share this episode with facebook or twitter. After you have filled in the white spaces, you have to click on broadcast.

Step3: after you clicked on broadcast the music console will appear. With this cosole you can control your radio. You can add songs, you can speak in the microphone and you can add special effects

Here is some imformation about the different buttons from the control panel.
with this button you can slide up and down. If you slide up the microphone or the song will be heared louder. If you slide down the noise will reduce. this button gives you the possibillity to switch the sound off. If the button seems blue the sound is swiched off HTTP://ICT4U-‐PROJECT.EU

this screen is situated on the right side off
the panel. Here you can add songs or special sounds. If you want to add a song or playlist, click on add in the playlist cader. This screan will appear. Now you have to choose songs that you want to add to you playlist. You have also the possibillity to upload your own music. Here is an example we choose for the first artist click on ‘‘373’k’’

No you can see that the song is selected in the cader of playlist (on the right). Close the screan (watch the ‘v’) v
You will comeback on your home screan. If you want to let play your song click 2 times on the song (in the cader of the playlist) and the song will appear in ‘deck 1’

Now your song stands in ‘deck 1’ if you want to let it play click on the play button
. You can change the sound by sliding the slide
button. And if you want to stop the song click on the stop button
*to add special sounds, you have to follow the same procedure, but than in the ‘sound fx’ instead of ‘playlist’. So if you can work with this pannel you can go ‘ON AIR’ click on the red button to broadcast
If you are ‘ON AIR’, the on air space will be lighting up in red like this

Now people can listen live to your personal radio. And all the actions that you dlo will be heared by you listeners. 2: LISTEN . You can also listen to music. Step1: go back to the homepage and click in the upper toolbar on listen. Like this.
Step 2: This page will appear. Choose now witch radio you want to listen to. There are many cathegories to choose between, its your choise!!!

We can use spreaker in school to make our own school radio. Where we cann listen to in school breakes par example or in the midday break. So students can ask for songs our play games that every student can hear. An other posibility is that you can say witch teacher is ill today so students know when they haven’t lesson. There are many plesant ways to use the online radio in school.
