International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) is incorporated by the Soriano Group, the Razon Group, and Sea-Land Services, Inc. to bid for the concession of the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT).
ICTSI is awarded the MICT concession, beating seven other international consortia.
ICTSI takes over operation of its first concession, the MICT, and immediately rolls out projects for infrastructure upgrades, computerization, purchase of equipment, and streamlining of processes and procedures. Today, the MICT Group’s flagship and benchmark for future concessions. The Philippines’ largest and most modern terminal.

ICTSI buys into South Cotobato Integrated Port Services, Inc. (SCIPSI), which provides stevedoring and cargo handling services at the Makar Wharf in the Port of General Santos in southern Philippines. This is ICTSI’s second terminal in the Philippines.
ICTSI, Royal Ports Services, Inc. and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) sign an agreement for the management, operation and development of the 10-hectare Naval Supply Depot (NSD) in Subic Bay Freeport in the Philippines. Subsidiary Subic Bay International Terminal Corp. (SBITC) was formed to manage the NSD. 10

ICTSI begins development of its Bauan Terminal in Batangas in the Philippines through subsidiary Bauan International Port, Inc. Today, the Bauan Terminal leads in the handling of completely built-up vehicles.

ICTSI subsidiary Tecon Suape S.A. (TSSA) signs the concession agreement for the operation, management and development of the SCT.
ICTSI pioneers e-commerce for Philippine terminal operations with the roll-out of the MICT iBox, an e-commerce facility where clients can transact, obtain information and pay port charges online 24/7.
ICTSI rolls out its first in-house developed software, TopMan v.1, a terminal monitoring security application that provides real-time data on container terminal operational efficiency and productivity. This is the first of its kind in the Philippines, and is soon adopted in other ICTSI terminals.
ICTSI rolls out Ariba Enterprise Sourcing and Contracts, which is soon adopted in all its other terminals.

The MICT handles its one-millionth twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU). This is the first time that the MICT hit the one million TEU mark, and the MICT is the first ICTSI terminal to achieve this volume.
The MICT services dedicated car carrier vessels for the first time, loading and offloading some 1,000 completely built-up Ford vehicles.
ICTSI wins the bid for the 20-year concession for the Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) in Gdynia, Poland. This is Eastern Europe’s first port privatization effort, and ICTSI’s first foray into Europe.
ICTSI completes the privatization process for BCT, and takes over operation after being awarded the concession in May.

ICTSI is awarded the concession to operate the Naha International Container Terminal in Okinawa, Japan. It is the first time that a foreign company is allowed to operate a Japanese facility.
Naha Port Authority and Naha International Container Terminal, Inc. (NICTI), an ICTSI subsidiary, sign the basic agreement for NICTI to operate Terminals 9 and 10 at the Naha Port in Okinawa, Japan beginning 1 January 2006.
ICTSI Far East Pte Ltd (IFE) purchases 95 percent shareholdings of PT Makassar Terminal Services, joint operator of the Makassar Container Terminal in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. IFE purchased shares of Singapore-based Portek Systems and Equipment Pte Ltd and Indonesian liner PT Peleyaran Nusantara Meratus.
ICTSI is voted the Philippines’ “Best Small Cap” in FinanceAsia’s Best Companies in 2005 poll among fund managers and investment analysts.

ICTSI signs the 20-year concession to manage and operate the Madagascar International Container Terminal in Madagascar. Subsidiary Madagascar International Container Terminal Services Ltd. is formed to operate the terminal. This is ICTSI’s first African terminal.

ICTSI acquires 90.7 percent of Davao Integrated Port Stevedoring and Services Corp. (DIPSSCOR) from Aboitiz Transport System Corp. DIPSSCOR provides cargo handling at the Sasa Wharf in Davao City in Southern Philippines. This is ICTSI’s second terminal in Mindanao.
Yantai Rising Dragon International Container Terminals Ltd., a subsidiary of ICTSI, takes over operations of the Yantai Gangtong Container Terminal in Shandong Province. ICTSI renames the terminal to Yantai Rising Dragon International Container Terminal.
In a poll conducted by Finance Asia, ICTSI is chosen as the Philippines’ top Mid Cap Company.
Contecon Guayaquil SA (CGSA), a subsidiary of ICTSI, signs a contract with the Autoridad Portuario de Guayaquil for the 20-year Public Service Concession for the Container and Multi-Purpose Terminals at the Port of Guayaquil in Ecuador. Guayaquil is Ecuador’s largest and main marine gateway.

The Colombian National Institute of Concessions grants ICTSI the 30-year concession for the development of a new container terminal in the Port of Buenaventura in Colombia.
ICTSI obtains from Batumi Port Holdings Ltd. a new concession for the container terminal and other cargo handling facilities at the Port of Batumi in Georgia. Batumi International Container Terminal LLC was formed to operate and manage the terminal.

ICTSI signs a 25-year lease with the Port of Portland for the operation of the 77.7-hectare container terminal and breakbulk facility at Terminal 6. The agreement is considered the largest financial transaction in the history of the city’s maritime port, and is ICTSI’s first venture in the USA.

ICTSI Capital BV enters into a share purchase agreement with Luka Rijeka DD to purchase 51 percent interest in the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), which operates the Bradjica Container Terminal in Rijeka, Croatia. AGCT has a 30-year concession agreement to operate and develop the terminal.
ICTSI signs a container port operation agreement for the management and operation of the Kattupalli International Container Terminal in Tamil Nadu, India. This is ICTSI’s first venture in India.

ICTSI Oregon, Inc. receives the Foreign Direct Investment Business Award at the Annual International Awards and Scholarship Dinner in Portland, Oregon in the United States.
ICTSI opens the MICT’s Berth 6, a USD200 million investment, again ahead of its contractual obligation. The new berth increases the terminal’s capacity to 2.5 million TEUs, the largest in the Philippines and among ICTSI’s terminals worldwide.
ICTSI acquires 35 percent of the total issued capital of Pakistan International Container Terminal Ltd., operator at the Port of Karachi.
ICTSI acquires a 65-percent stake in Hijo International Port Services, Inc. (HIPS), owner and developer of the Hijo International Port in Tagum City, Davao del Norte in southern Philippines. ICTSI will expand the terminal, which, when completed, will make the terminal Mindanao’s largest, second only to Manila.
